I was stationed at RAF Bentwaters from 1975-1978 approximately. Assigned to the 81st Combat Support Group under the leadership of LTC John Nortness. I was the NCOIC of the Base Film Library and worked in the same quonset hut as Photo Lab and Graphic Art

I am a former Law Enforcement troop and had the honor of being the LAST American on Woodbridge. I called the Law Enforcement Desk on that sad night and told them I was terminating Woodbridge for the last time. I then handed the keys to the Royal Marine R
giment and with a tear in my eye drove through the gate for the last time.
Of course about 10 days later the last 10 LE troops including myself closed down Bentwaters and off to Provide COmfort II I went.
