Hello. I'm surprised. You've actually arrived at my website! I'm impressed. Very. It is not easy to find this place. You have to sift through other rubbish before you can actually reach this site. I applaud the effort you've taken. As a token of appreciation, herein I include my personal biodata (if you're interested). Otherwise, just click any link that you require (the reason you actually came for) and leave this place quickly, before the mass of rubbish and impertinence suffocates you until you can no longer breathe and you'll be as mundane and ordinary as me. You will however have to scroll down through my boring biodata before you can reach the links. Obviously I did that on purpose. Sorry. I really am. Good luck as you rumble through the MESS known as my LIFE.
Name : Raffli
(Pronounced 'Roughly'. Interesting? Must be. It's the only in the world I think.
Le Fantôme is an alias as well, something I assume only on the net.
Rather obnoxious, isn't it?)
Age : 18
(Apparently, I lost about 12 years of my life when I reached 12,
because I can't remember anything that happened before 12.
Not even my birthdays.
But they were supposed to be the pinnacle of my education history.
Now it's clearly the nadir. Great.)
Country of Birth (and Residence) :
Singapore
(An extremely accommodating country, very lucky to be born here.
Only things we get are either sun or rain. How great. No use for snow shovels
here!)
Schools attended :
Bedok Town Primary School (1992-1993), Xingnan Primary School (1994-1997),
Raffles Institution (1998-2001), Raffles Junior College (2002-2003), MOELC
(1998-2002)
(I was previously in Bedok Town Primary School until my family moved to the West
of Singapore.
I had to change my primary school. But it was worth it. I shined in the new
school.
It was not really a difference since it was basically the same thing in the
previous school. But still...
I entered the EM1 stream (which is still an amazing feat I have to declare).
Great education I've had. Great teachers I've had. Great friends I've had and
lost.
If anyone from these schools remembers me, please contact me. Keen to continue
any lost friendships.
My life is too mundane. I need more friends (trying to sound desperate here...)
please!
No really. Really. I'm just trying to retrace my former acquaintances.)
Interests : Reading (naturally), listening to music, singing to music (or at least humming the tune), reflecting on my mundane life in my spare time (which I have lots of), doing homework (see how mundane and boring my life is?), watching TV (lots of it, sometimes on a stretch of about 4-5 hours a day), going to the theatre or cinema, eating, sleeping, going out (occasionally, whenever I feel like it, sometimes with my friends, more than often with my family. Ever the mummy's boy, aren't I? Am I not sick?), creating my future life in my mind (I've set out which university I want to go to, when to marry and how many children to have), all musicals in the West End and Broadway (I aspire to visit these places before I'm 25 and watch Phantom and Les Misérables a million times. I've got tons of recordings on my fave musicals. Listening is however not the same as watching. I realised that after watching Miss Saigon twice in Singapore. Simply insufficient.), interacting with my 4 siblings (interacting as little as needs be of a big brother, taunt them when needed, talk to them when needed, ask a favour when needed, bully them when appropriate), reading the news and irritating my mom and dad (what I'm best at. You know, you purposely do something that they object to or simply dislike like walking with your shoulders slouched and whispering when you're talking to them. It's hilarious. Everyone should do this to amuse themselves and their parents. But don't go to extremes. I don't believe in extremes.)
Current commitments : Acting for the school play (Measure for Measure - acting as Angelo, the villain), participating in a nation-wide general knowledge quiz in Malay (MIQ), teaching tuition to my cousins on the other side of Singapore, studying hard for my next common test, my prelims and A Levels, and setting out to find a girlfriend (hope to bring her to the prom this year, ever my goal), waiting for my NS (national service - army) enlistment this year.
Languages I can
Speak and Write : English, Malay and French
(My English and Malay
are okay but my French, it's not understandable by my French teacher's
standards. But I'm continually trying to improve. I simply cannot get that
French accent that everyone strives to get. I simply can't. Nonetheless, I'm
hoping to major in French together with Economics in a UK university soon
(although I've not even taken my A Levels yet. Praying hard I do well. Thinking
of learning more languages like German, Japanese and the ever elusive Mandarin
but haven't got the time. Later, I guess.)
Immediate Goals :
Do well for my A Levels, study Economics and French at University,
get a girlfriend to show to parents and friends (obviously
not the only purpose of getting one), get a good job and
get a big house for my parents and siblings soon after.
