Based on the popular Top Cow comic book this new TNT series is taking primetime by storm. It was set to be a two hour pilot movie to lead into the series. Our heroine, Sara Pezzini was chosen by the semisentient witchblade that has wielded every gerneration by the woman that it chose. One of its previous hosts include Joan of Arc, among other great warrior woman throughout the ages.  Now, Sara Pezzini, a NYPD homoside detective must face the power of the blade which chooses the events in her life now.  Only a woman can weild the witchblade.  Why?  Because only women can know the pain of this ancient weapon.  This powerful weapon heightens powers of perception, making it possible to see things after they've happened.  The blade comes to only women of unmatched strength of mind, body, and will.  These women have been the only ones to successfully worn the blade.  TNT re-airs Season I.  Relive the drama and get ready for the June premiere of Season 2 only on TNT.

Yancy Butler is Sara Pezzini.  Yancy has also worked with action stars like Jean-Claude Van Damme in Hard Target and Wesley Snipes in Drop Zone.  Will Yun Lee plays her ghost partner Danny Woo, killed by the White Bulls, a gang of killer cops.  He comes to Sara to help her through troubled times.  Now, Sara works with Jake McCartey an undercover FBI agent playing bad cop.  Will he return in June?  We'll see.  Sara has made friends and enemies... who will be back to help aid or destroy the bladewielder?  Stay Tuned!
