Georgia RU Tbilissi Head Office announced Lelos 30-strong RWC squad on Tuesday, 10 September at 14 hours local time but the same governing body's Montpellier Branch amended it later same day and forwarded the updated list to IRB's Dublin premises still well before the deadline The Squad consists of 14 backs and 16 forwards. Only eight of the selected play for Georgian Clubs (3 for Academy, 2 for University, and one each for Locomotivi, Lelo and Datvebi) The rest ply their trade either in France or Italy but six of them were discarded and left without pay by their clubs for the Lelos involvement with RWC Finals One notable absentee is ex-captain and legendary prop Levan Tsabadze, 30 (33 caps, 10T) who has been injured since new year and missed the whole of ENC His successor, No8 Ilia Zedguinidze has a badly damaged forehead in the wake of Asti test vs Italy and currently is doubtful albeit he will be operated on Mon, 15 Sept by a plastic surgeon and the Lelos still hope for Ilo's recovery in time for crucial clash with Uruguay on 28 Oct In his absense all-rounder Vassil Katasdze will assume captaincy whilst another old warhorse, lock Victor Didebulidze will be entrusted with vice-captaincy LELOS of GEORGIA
