Starlite is Rainbow Brite's trusty horse. He was resucued by Rainbow Brite (then Wisp) when he was frozen into a block of ice, but by hugging the ice she released him. (She knew he was alive because she could hear his hearbeat.) Although Starlite is fast, and gets Rainbow anywhere she wants to be, he is quite conceited, going as far as to call himself "the most magnificent horse in the universe." Rainbow doesn't seem to mind, but he and Twink have a longstanding argument as to who is Rainbow Brite's main friend and protector.

Sunriser is an elusive wild pink horse that lives in the mountains near the Color Caves. For years the sprites have told stories about her, but the Color Kids never beleived them. It turns out she is real, and comes out in the morning to watch the sun rise, thus, her name. Sunriser's first and only television debut was in "A Horse of a Different Color."

Skydancer is Stormy's horse, who helps her control the season on Earth, and for that matter, in the entire universe. Skydancer and Stormy go up to the clouds to make the storms, and when Skydancer troats there is rain. (Jumping produces thunder.) Skydancer, like Sunriser, never speaks, but instead grunts and exhales smoke through his nostrils. Murky's gloom cloud has no effect on Skydancer because although he is not usually "murked out," he's not the most chipper horse in Rainbow Land. (That honor would belong to Starlite.)
