No series would be complete without some bad guys, and this page is devoted to Rainbowland's section of 'bad guys'. These characters were introduced through the episodes and the movie.
Murky Dismal
Murky Dismal
Murky is the main Rainbow Brite villian, and lives to destroy colors. Every since a you age Murky has hated colors. He used to love to color, especially on walls, but when his mother found out she got so mad that he promised himself that he would never go near colors again. Murky is also an excellent scientist, always working on new inventions to keep Rainbow Brite on her toes and to keep the world brite and cheerful, much to Murky's dismay!
Lurky
Lurky is Murky Dismal's secomd in comand. There is a theory that he is a deformed sprite, as he is fluffy and has attenae. Lurky really likes colors, and only helps Murky because he keeps him under a permanent gloom cloud. Every once in a while this lovable lug will break out and exclaim "Look at all the pretty colors!"
The Dark Princess
This is the Dark Princess, who was introduced in the movie, Rainbow Brite
and the Star Stealer, and made a visit to Rainbowbow Land in the episode
"The Queen Of Sprites". The Dark Princess just LOVES presents and
collects diamonds and other beautiful gems. That is why she wanted to take
over Spectra, the diamond planet, in the movie, but that "Rainbow Brat",
as she puts it, keep stopping here. (Go Rainbow! :)) The princess
plans on eventually getting Spectra, and then stealing Rainbow's color
belt. Fortunatly, with her talent (of which there is none), and Rainbow
Brite's friends, this will never happen. :)
Count Blogg
Count Bloog is the head body gurad/companion to the Princess. In
both
Rainbow Brite and The Star Stealer and The Queen Of Sprites
he stands by the Princess and protects her. It is also his responsibility
to rid the Princess' castle of unwanted guests or those who do not bring
presents. Though he pretends to have a magical power (the ability
to turn sprites into frogs) there was none shown.
