Lucas and Josie are practicing Romeo and Juliet for Drama class (not for an actual play), Josie is watching Vaughn practicing throwing a football instead.
Later, Lucas connects himself and Vaughn to an EEG machine for his project. But when they're both connected, their brainwaves get transferred through the machine and into each other; Lucas is in Vaughn's body and Vaughn is in Lucas's body. Professor Z runs to them, finding out about the switch he also sees the circuits of the EEG are also fried and need repair.
Lucas, in Vaughn's body, goes off to football practice and really messes up. Also, he is having trouble reading because all the letters appear backwards.

"Just because you have my body doesn't mean you know how to use it. No offense, but I've seen you throw. Not pretty." – Vaughn, in Lucas's body, to Lucas, in Vaughn's body.

Meanwhile Josie doesn't want to do the kiss scene of Romeo and Juliet with Lucas, especially after Corrine, the director, says that Principal Durst will also be watching their acting.

"Yeah, Principal Durst is coming to watch. She really loves Romeo and Juliet, must be all the kissing." – Corrine to Josie.

Marshall, and Josie and Corrine, now find out about the switch.

"What is up with you and Madison?" – Marshall to Vaughn, in Lucas's body.
"None of your business" – Vaughn, in Lucas's body, to Marshall.

Lucas, in Vaughn's body, confirms that Vaughn has dyslexia to Vaughn, in Lucas's body, who already knows. Vaughn, in Lucas's body, says it doesn't bother him and he's not ashamed of it, he didn't tell anyone cause he doesn't want to make a big deal of it. Professor Z has found a replacement circuit board for the EEG but it'll take three months to get to them, so they decide to repair it instead. Principal Durst walks in, saying how eager she is to see Josie's and Lucas's scene.

"In my younger days, I once played Juliet to, oh, the most dashing Romeo, Marven Lipschitz. I wonder where he is now. I should Google him." – Principal Durst to science club.

Josie, Vaughn in Lucas's body, and Corrine go to Drama class to do the scene. Principal Durst also tells Vaughn that his father wants to see him so Lucas, in Vaughn's body, goes over to his house. Victor isn't there and Lucas looks at the computer screen and sees the stages of building "Pearadyne 2". Victor catches him and Lucas, in Vaughn's body, is very nervous. Victor comments that he seems a little more confused than usual (and doesn't appear worried at what Lucas might have seen). Victor wants him to sign something, and he does, not knowing what it is, and Victor sends him back to school.
At school, Marshall and Professor Z make a makeshift circuit board for the EEG machine while Josie and Vaughn, in Lucas's body, perform their scene from Romeo and Juliet. Corrine comments that it looked like they weren't just acting. The EEG machine is ready and Vaughn and Lucas are hooked back up to it and a successful unswitch is done.
Outside, Lucas and Vaughn are practicing throwing a football and Lucas asks Vaughn what were the papers Victor wanted Vaughn to sign. Vaughn doesn't really know, just that they involve his mother's estate. Josie watches them, Corrine is also present. She tells Corrine that the kiss from Romeo and Juliet scene was real, not just acting. Corrine asks who she really kissed, Vaughn or Lucas? Josie says she thinks both.

"I've got to tell you. It wasn't as good being you as I thought it would be." – Lucas, in Vaughn's body.
"And it wasn't as bad being you as I thought it would be." – Vaughn, in Lucas's body.

    Episode notes:

    • Janitor's secret message: "The papers are linked to Vaughn's mother and Pearadyne," "Lucas's loss is Vaughn's gain," and "Vaughn and Lucas are not what they seem."
    • Principal Durst stated that she once played Juliet in a play. In real life, Valerie Boyle (Principal Durst) has played in dramatic and musical theater productions.
    Personal thoughts:
This episode had something that made you watch it over and over again. Perhaps it was the kiss. I wonder how many times they redid that scene *heh heh*. Emma's hair was different for the next couple of episodes beginning with this one. It made her seem different from the earlier episodes. Not sure why.
