Lucas runs through the halls trying not to be late for class, but runs into Stew who teases and blocks him from getting into the classroom, before walking away.
The class is learning about DNA. They collect samples from themselves (hair, cheek tissue) which they can look for DNA in through microscopes. After they leave, little jolts of electricity move along Lucas's slide and alter one of the chromosomes of his DNA.
In the locker room, Lucas is in a hurry but runs into Stew again. Except this time, Lucas talks back to Stew and ends up challenging him to a fight.

"If I was him and not me, I'd be afraid of me." – Stew to others.

Professor Z collects the slides when he notices something wrong with Lucas's slide, the DNA strand is messed up.
Back in the gym, Lucas comes out of the locker room; he has changed his hair and no longer is wearing his glasses. He challenges someone to race him to the top of the ropes, implying Stew, the teacher allows it. Lucas actually beats Stew to the top, but then pulls off Stew's gym shorts and drops them. The teacher takes Lucas to Principal Durst, who gives him a week of detention after he basically undermines her authority.

"Hey, listen, everyone knows you're the law, Dursty baby, but if Stew calls me out, I have to answer." – Lucas to Principal Durst.

Josie, Corrine, and Marshall go to Professor Z, who already knows that Lucas's chromosomes have been altered. What is worrying is that Lucas has lost his self preservation. Josie sets out to make sure Lucas doesn't get into trouble, Corrine and Marshall look for things containing Lucas's DNA before it changed, and Vaughn is to watch Stew to make sure he doesn't start the fight early, they have one hour before it begins.

"Good to see you back on the ground, and, ah, wearing pants again." – Lucas to Stew.

Corrine and Marshall return with some items and try to reverse the DNA change.

"Ok. I'll try to scrape some hair off his brush, and you can see if you can find any Kleenex in his trash." – Marshall to Corrine.

Lucas and Stew are getting ready for the fight and everyone in the halls is cheering for Lucas. In the science room, they power the electromagnet and little jolts of electricity run through Lucas's DNA. Lucas, all of a sudden, losses enthusiasm about the fight and his vision becomes blurry and he puts on his glasses. With Lucas cured, Professor Z convinces Lucas to face Stew but not by fighting. Lucas admits to everyone that Stew is stronger and will win. Stew tells Lucas that Lucas owes him a pair of gym shots and walks off.
The next day in class, Professor Z has everyone's DNA mapped out; except Josie's and Vaughn's are missing and even their slides are gone.
Down in the Janitor's residence, the Janitor is looking at Vaughn's and Josie's DNA maps, saying they share an unusual DNA marker. Then seemingly says to the air, "I'm sending them through", and a vertical streak of light opens beside him and the Janitor sends the slides through, then the light disappears.

    Episode notes:

    • Janitor's secret message: "Josie and Vaughn's destinies are written," "Josie and Vaughn's future is destined," and "The slides forecast the future."
    • The way Professor Z holds Lucas's slide when showing it to Josie is incorrect. It is a rule to hold a microscope slide by it's rim or it's label, which a professor should know.
    Personal thoughts:
This episode feels a bit important for some reason. The Janitor plays a bigger role in it than the last two episodes, I think.
