Science Club. Professor Z is showing off a video camera which is hooked up with a television. He tells them that technology is rapidly becoming smaller and that things once only imagined are now commonplace. He tells them to imagine a cell phone so small that an ant could use it. Lucas slowly walks into the Science room. Professor Z notices him and the rest turn to face the door, where he is. There is surprise among the group. Vaughn reminds Lucas that Lucas said that he would only be in the Science Club if Vaughn wasn’t. Lucas blows the memory off, telling them that something more important has arisen. He opens a binder, putting it on the desk. Inside, he has pictures of Tyler going off into the woods. He tells them that he’s been tracking Tyler. Professor Z exerts concern that Lucas is spying on Tyler but Lucas tells them that Tyler goes off into the woods at 5pm everyday and comes out 5 minutes later. Walking out, he tells them that he isn’t back; he just believes that they should know. The group agrees to follow Tyler, walking out of the room, followed by Professor Z. Electricity floods the video camera, laptop, and cell phone on the desk. The three shrink to the point that they can’t be seen without a magnifying glass.

“In collecting data, you can never be too thorough.” – Lucas to everyone.

Corrine and Marshall walk into the Science room. Marshall points out that his books are where he had left them. Corrine corrects him by saying that his books are where he forgot them. Corrine looks at the television, noticing that it is showing herself and Marshall. She tells Marshall that the video camera should be in front of them, on the desk, based on the angle it is displaying. Hearing his phone ringing, Marshall searches his pockets but his cell phone is not there. Using a magnifying glass, they look at the table and see the nanosized video camera, laptop, and cell phone.

“Marshall, what’s wrong with this picture?” – Corrine.
“Don’t they always say the camera adds ten pounds?” – Marshall.

In the backyard, Josie and Vaughn sit at a picnic table looking over Lucas’s information. Vaughn tells Josie that he believes that he should stop coming to the Science Club so that they can get Lucas’s help since Lucas is more of an asset than he is. Josie tells Vaughn that Lucas will be back. This is just Lucas’s way of figuring out his issues. Corrine runs out of the door, telling them that there is something that they must see.
In the Science room, Josie looks into a microscope, seeing the nanosized cell phone. Corrine speculates about the possibilities this brings. A nanosized camera could be ingested and used to diagnoses illnesses. Josie points out that a nanosize camera has an additional purpose – the ultimate spy cam. The plan is to plant it on Tyler to find out where he goes everyday at 5pm. Corrine is worried that the plan will backfire. Vaughn approves of the idea, however.
Josie sneaks up to Tyler, with the nano-camera inside a water dropper in one hand and books in the other, under the pretense of asking Tyler if he would come to the Science Club and pretending to be his friend. She tells him that she can put in a good word for him. Tyler, who has duffle bag with him, is intrigued by Josie’s offer but right now, Tyler has detention, for taking food from the kitchen. They are standing in front of the detention room. Josie tells him that she has detention as well since Principal Durst caught her cutting classes. Tyler allows Josie to proceed first but Josie drops her books. Tyler bends over to pick them up for her and Josie uses the opportunity to plant the nanosized video camera. It lands on Tyler’s left shoulder, near the duffle bag strap. Corrine, Marshall, and Vaughn watch the television back in the Science room. Marshall’s phone rings again, annoying Corrine. Marshall tells her that it is just the low battery signal. The signal stops; Marshall figures the battery must have died. The cell phone suddenly reverts to normal size, getting crushed by the microscope. Corrine figures that the nano-effect only lasts as long as there is still battery power for the object. They worry when the battery in the video camera will die.
The two go into the detention room. Ms. Dubin, the teacher in charge of detention today, tells them to not talk to each other and to stay at their own tables. Tyler puts down his duffle bag. The shoulder strap knocks the video camera off of his shoulder, sending it into the air. Not knowing this, Josie swallows it as she is yawning. In the Science room, Corrine, Marshall, and Vaughn see what has occurred. They see the battery indicator reporting that there is no more than an hour of battery power left in the video camera.

“Watch out, Ms. Dubin, Trent’s a notorious class cutter. Better lock the doors.” – Tyler to Ms. Dubin.

Corrine and Marshall run off to get Professor Z. Vaughn tells them that there is someone who he must see first and that he will catch up with them.
In the detention room, Tyler whispers to Josie, inquiring about Josie’s adventures through the wormhole. She tells him that she has been to the past and asks where he went. Tyler is hesitant and he asks that she wishes to know for Science Club purposes, to record the places that people are sent. Tyler agrees that if she can get him into The Club, he will tell her all the places he has been. The two shake hands.

“If you two lovebirds want to hold hands, do it after detention.” – Ms. Dubin to Josie and Tyler.
“We are so not holding hands.” – Josie, frustrated.

Vaughn comes to Lucas’s room. He tells Lucas that they have to talk but Lucas says that he has to study. Vaughn tells Lucas that even if Lucas doesn’t like him, that Lucas shouldn’t let it hurt Josie and that she is in trouble.
In Professor Z’s office, Professor Z scolds Corrine and Marshall for using deception to gain Tyler’s confidence. Professor Z says that he will get Josie out of detention but Lucas and Vaughn walk in. Lucas tells Professor Z that he doesn’t think that is a good idea. Vaughn tells them that he filled in Lucas on the situation leading Corrine to ask Lucas if he is back in The Club. Lucas replies that he is now back in, adding that he has also thought of a way to destroy the video camera inside of Josie before it reverts to its normal size.

“It left her stomach a few minutes ago and now it’s zipping through her bloodstream like a Ferrari” – Marshall to Professor Z.

In detention, Tyler looks at the clock, which reads five minutes before 5 o’clock; then to Josie, who looks back at him and then to her work; then back to the clock; then to Ms. Dubin. Ms. Dubin tells Josie and Tyler that she has to give some papers to Principal Durst and that she expects them both to remain in their seats and continue working. After she leaves, Tyler asks Josie for a favor. He tells her that he has somewhere he needs to be and to tell Ms. Dubin that he went to the bathroom if she returns before he gets back. Josie inquires about where he is really going but Tyler evades the question. He opens a window and goes out it. Josie gets up and follows him out the window.

“This being-in-the-Science-Club stuff is working out pretty good, huh? ” – Tyler to Josie.

In the Science class, Lucas tells Professor Z, Vaughn, Corrine, and Marshall that his dad had a kidney stone and that the doctors broke it apart. Professor Z still has the machine and the sound wand, which they used in the unit on sound waves, which will generate the correct frequency . They test it on the laptop computer and the test is successful. Vaughn takes notice to the television's picture which is becoming fuzzy. Lucas realizes that the camera, meaning Josie too, is moving out of range. Josie has left the detention room. Marshall tells them that he will take a portable monitor with him as they search for Josie. They will know that she is close when they receive a signal.
Entering the detention room, they see that it is empty and their escape method, the window, is easily located. Professor Z tells them that the sound wand is electrical. Therefore, they must bring Josie back to the school for it to work. Time is running out as Corrine, Marshall, Vaughn, and Lucas go out through the window. Professor Z turns to go back out the door as Ms. Dubin, carrying a stack of papers with her, is about to enter. Professor Z blocks her way into the detention room as Ms. Dubin, in a frustrated tone, tells him that she has students in detention who are not supposed to have visitors in the room. Professor Z stalls by telling her that he was looking for a book with his book finder (the sound wand) that he invented. She continues to press forward, getting closer and closer to Professor Z, but he tries to show her how the book finder works, telling her that he is setting it to locate test papers. Waving the wand around, he points them at her stack of papers. Excited that his device works, he tells her that he will be heading to the patent office. The two rotate around each other in the doorway and Professor Z goes off down the hallway as Ms. Dubin finally gets into the detention room. She notices the room is empty and the window open, exclaiming disappointedly “Professor Zachary.”
Out in the woods, Tyler casually walks, looking behind him occasionally. Josie follows close behind though. Josie, however, steps on a twig which snaps under her weight. Josie swiftly hides behind a neighboring tree. Tyler, hearing the twig snap, hides behind a tree as well but he enables his chameleon ability and blends in. Figuring that Tyler has moved on, Josie follows to where she last saw Tyler. Tyler observes her as he is still blending into the tree. Josie walks off and Tyler comes out of his disguise. He goes in the opposite direction that Josie walked. Meanwhile, Marshall, with Corrine, Vaughn, and Lucas, says that the signal is getting stronger as they search the woods. Lucas tells them that they are out of time and he yells Josie’s name. Marshall and Vaughn join in, realizing that they have to save Josie even if it means letting Tyler know they are in the woods. Tyler is relieved knowing that Josie will now be preoccupied with them now as he walks off. Josie is frustrated with the four as they finally locate her. Lucas tells her that she has swallowed the nano-camera. Marshall informs her that it is now lodged in one of her lungs. Thinking of what they could do since there is not enough time to get Josie back to the school, Lucas picks up a patch of grass and shoves it in Josie’s face, reminding Josie that she has allergies. Corrine realizes that a strong sneeze can force the video camera out of her lungs. Vaughn and Corrine join in. All Josie can do is stand there. She sneezes and the camera flies out of her mouth. It reverts back to its normal size on the ground. She thanks Lucas as they all look at the video camera.
Tyler looks to the sky and a raspy noise can be heard. There are no recognizable words though. Tyler replies that he understands and that he will be ready. From a distance, the Janitor and Josie2 monitor Tyler. The Janitor asks Josie2 where Tyler is going. Josie2 replies “the other side.”

In the Science room, Josie goes over what she and Tyler said in detention. She tells them that she didn’t actually get answers from Tyler. They were just both playing games with each other. Professor Z informs them that Tyler has received a very prestigious student internship at a place called the Aveneer Institute and that he will be gone for the rest of the term. Vaughn believes this is good but Lucas points out that with Tyler gone, they can no longer watch him.
Principal Durst walks out with Tyler at the front of the school. She reminds him how honorable the internship is and makes him promise that he will work hard and make Blake Holsey proud. She adds not to forget his friends at Blake Holsey to which Tyler, in a rather suspicious tone, tells her that he will be returning and leaving Principal Durst with a confused look on her face.

“Oh don’t worry, Principal Durst. I’ll be back.” – Tyler to Principal Durst.

    Episode notes:

    • Janitor's secret message: "One rival reaches out to another. Deception leads to danger. The true enemy is revealed."
    Personal thoughts:
This episode kind of continues from Camouflage where Tyler first goes through the wormhole. I thought Vaughn's little speech to Lucas was awkwardly worded.
Why is Professor Z so pressed to defend Tyler? Why did Lucas not want to let Professor Z get Josie out of detention? hum.... Lucas's dad had a kidney stone? That probably should have been Vaughn's uncle (episode: Radio) but I guess it could be Lucas's father as well.
The camera going through Josie's bloodstream was not well thought out. Josie's immune system should have identified the camera as a foreign body and destroyed it.
