Having problems being one of the shortest people in her grade, Josie decides she's had enough of being teased by this one girl, deciding to confront her.
"It's just that you're so short, well, like an elf." - Wendy to Josie.
Before Josie can do anything, she shrinks to about two hand palms high.
"You should feel lucky. At least you're still growing some. I'm actually shrinking." - Professor Zachary to Josie.
She manages to round up the group to investigate the problem, but they happen to lose Joise. While they all go about the building in search of her, the Janitor walks into a room, where Josie is on the floor, going directly to her. He tells her there's a reason she shrunk and to take advantage of it.
Josie sneaks into Durst's office, hearing Victor tell Principal Durst about the inspector he sent (refering to the episode "Robot") and that he wants an inspection of the front of the school.
Victor Pearson also seaks a partnership for Paradyne Labs. Josie goes with Victor and hears this too. But after Victor leaves the room, the man, John, answers his cell phone, talking to the contact about how they're going to cheat Victor. Josie records the conversation on an answering machine and leaves, but before getting to the door, Josie grows back to her normal size and gets caught. To escape, Josie points out a message on the answering machine.
Back at school, Vaughn informs the group that his dad's merger is off. Josie tells the group something is going to happen when a mandatory attendance movie night is announced by Principal Durst. The group hides out in the bushes and confirms what Josie's heard. They watch people in environmental suits scanning the school. It is evident to all of there's a cover up between the Durst, Vaughn's father, and Paradyne Labs. One of the people takes off their mask and Josie finds it is her mom working with Victor.

Episode notes:
- Lucas is heard refering to "Gulliver's Travels" in the bookcase while looking for Josie. "Gulliver's Travels" is a story in which the character ventures to an island where the inhabitants are really tiny and to another island where the inhabitabts are very tall.
- This episode was nominated for the award Outstanding Team Achievement In A Television Series – Family in the 2004 Directors Guild of Canada Awards
Personal thoughts:
This episode felt like it was longer than a half hour (in a good way). You get two primary plots here, Josie shrinking and Victor starting an investigation. The return of Josie's mom is also here. Definitely a lot to absorb here.
