This "Canarian species"
considerated as rare in Mediterranea is relatively frequent all along the
northern Tunisian coasts where it lives  on sandy bottoms  between
30 and 70 m depth. This specimen collected in the Tunis
gulf has  global  form and coloration
typical of the Sicilian species.
