DESCRIPTION
Resembles the Blue-faced Parrot Finch but is proportionally larger and heavier. The blue on the face is more extensive and with upper throat area being also blue. The female is paler and a less extensive blue face mask.
HABITAT
Mountain forests and secondary growth on forest edges.
BEHAVIOUR
Rare and seldom seen bird. Little is known about their breeding and feeding behaviour.
DIET
Little is known, but it is thought that it feeds principally on fig seeds..
