Funny Bikes

Yeah, yeah, yeah.... you'll probably laugh at when see them for the first time, but that's OK,
Let's say you're just being ignorant *grin*

These bikes are not all that new, at least not in Holland...
We call them 'ligfiets' which literally means 'lyingbike'. The proper term is 'Recumbent',
but I don't suppose that rings any bells. There are dozens of different makes/brands/types/etc.
I'm NOT going to tell you about that, though. What I do want to tell you about are the few
bikes that me and my father have got at home. He made them himself, you know?
So far we've got these:

Like I said before, my dad made those bikes himself. The Flevobikes are reproduced after
an existing type of recumbent. The blueprints ( or whatever you call them ) are free and
they ( Flevobike ) even encourage people to build them themselves. The Tandem is one
my dad designed himself, and it's the only one around, as far as we know.
There are others that have made tandems, but they're all different.
