Sigh....can't live with them..can't
live without!! To describe them to you would be pretty tough as I
would have to say only the good things.... but, well, to say only
the good things would be pretty tough too...as the list is never
ending! Phew! That should get me out of trouble for being cheeky!
I've had many friends throughout the years ...some I still keep
in contact with, some I still see everyday in school and some
whom I have no idea where exactly they are.....now, that's sad .
Anyway, I've changed the
pages a bit, for those who frequent my homepage would know. I
know most of you are impatient to read what's written about you ,
the Internet is, after all, a very dangerous place, you can get
access to all sorts of information.....so be nice to me! Didn't
you watch The Net? So, I've made it a little easier and listed
you in different pages (order is of no importance), so you can go
show all your new friends that your name is up on the net! :)
-For your information, I'm staying like this, and everyone else can just get used to it. If people don't like me the ay I am, well, TOUGH BEANS! It's a free country and I don't need anyone's permissioon to be the way I want! This is how I am! Take it or leave it! - Calvin of Calvin and Hobbes.
I guess we don't need a 6 year old kid to remind that friends accept the good and bad of each other. It's all part of the parcel. Grown apart we may be, however apart, there are those memories we still share and have in our hearts- those memories we hold on so dearly to. I have been told that whenever our friends overseas feel so alone, they drop by this homepage and they don't feel so homesick, it makes me smile to know that no matter how far apart we are, we still remember. Thanks for making this homepage more special to me....this is dedicated to friends everywhere.....
Let me introduce you to my friends.....
Firstly, you have to meet my 'other half', as some of you would put it.
DONALD ONG , I've known
him since 1991 and he has been my best friend, my shoulder to cry
on...well, my life ever since! Somehow, we've had ups and downs,
I guess, but we've managed to pull through the worst. That's the
best thing about being friends....you may fall hard but you
bounce back even stronger! Well, he used to love basketball, at
the time I put up my homepage, that explains why that Michael
Jordan pic is up here. Now, he just loves football!Together, we
have loads of laughs watching the whole season of Friends in 2
nights, being plain silly and deciding on what and where to eat!
He plays the guitar , and sometimes after much persuasion will
play some of my songs for me to sing along with! We went to
London and France together recently and boy,did we have loads of
fun, chasing after Pluto at Euro-Disney, speaking to each other
in Cantonese so the 'ang mor's' can't understand, getting caught
in the rain after clubbing in London and getting lost in Paris.
Being the Chelsea fan that he is, he even bought me a Chelsea
scrungee which I happen to love a lot , during our trip to the
stadium. He is now in Australia studying in Monash. I miss him
loads.
MABELLE LIM is my bestest,
bestest friend..and I've known her since Primary One..that was
back in 1985...hey, the year was not given for you to count my
age! Well, Mabelle resembles the character of Kelly Taylor of
Beverly Hills 90210 with a little of Phoebe's blurrness..you know..the
Phoebe from the popular sitcom 'FrIeNds'. Mab is now in the
States persueing a degree in music. She is a very talented
musician, and we love to sing at the top of our voices. Tricia,
Mab and I actually designed our own hotel, from the structure all
the way down to the music examiner of the ABRSM exams that they
have in hotels. And guess who we said would be the examiner? No
prizes though!
-Well,well,...meet
the Veronica Lodge of Ipoh....Miss TRICIA MALLIKA APPADURAY , her favourite
phrases are 'Daddiieeee...can I have ..?' and when she goes
shopping..which she loves..it'll be 'Cash or Plastic?'. I've
known her since high school..and, I remember the times when she
would call me and ask me to do her wood work or electronic work
for her. I didn't complain though...I got paid!! She's a
fantabulous writer...so, guess who was always doing my English
homework for me?? Well, I guess, we're even, then! Tricia is a
friend you can really count on when the days were gloomy...such
an understanding person as she is....she even tried to sing me a
song once when I was down....only worked cause...well...the
singing was amusing!!! We even had our own vision of owning one
of those bookstores where you can have coffee and read, for book
lovers. Oh well, our vision was relived in 'You've got Mail'! She
is currently in Nirwana persueing a degree in law.
Sigh....it's
gonna be pretty difficult to describe this next person. Dear to
me as she is, she is 'the' princessy girl. The sweet, artistic
and fussy person. Well, I have heard of the saying that artistic
people tend to be fussy as they seek for perfection in their art!
Well, GOH LEE YIN, doesn't like
taking the bus,even if it means being stranded at a certain place
for hours ,doesn't like to walk and doesn't like to have a bad
hairday. She is one of the best creative artist around and next
to Austral, she is the biggest complainer around too. Together,
Austral and her runs a gossip corner about the latest news in
school...well, not exactly a corner...but close enough. Meet the
Jessica Wakefield and Amy Sutton of Sweet Valley High Paperbacks.
I have known her since the old kindy days and together Austral,
Lee Yin, June, Fung Lui and I used to have squabbles and fun too.
She is one of my closest friends...but be sure to run when she
starts to pull your sleeve and be absolutely nice to you!!! She
is now studying in USM Penang and keeps boasting to us how good
and cheap is the food there!! I am SO deprived of good food!!
Unless of course, Mummie dearest packs food for me!
-If
there was ever a female Jughead Jones, my weird little friend,
born in Australia, Miss AUSTRAL CHANG
CHIN LI, would grab the honour of being
named Miss JuggieNa Jones....for she is always the first in line
at the food table. This girl..I've known since the old
kindygarten days...we used to play 'masak-masak' together! She's
another Phoebe, a little dense at times, but somehow is very
lucky!! Austral would drive you nuts with her antics , yet, she
could make you forgive her and love her again! She is now
studying in USM Tronoh and boy, does she have a lot of stories to
tell!
'MY HOMIE, LITTLE FAMILY....
-Dilton Doiley of Archie Comics..the genius, the 'shy guy', the Mister Know-It-All...well, my 'khai-kor'(godbrother), Master CHOK MUN HING, is the Dilton of S.M.I. except for the shy part.Just a few blocks away from Li Hua's and my house, I remember his confession to me....:"Se ah...I tell you somethingah? Last time when you and Ah Hua went cycling ah...we purposely play ping pong to spy on you girls..." That's Mun Hing alright...girls, girls, girls....I guess, he's a little mixture of Dilton and Archie Andrews. Well, he is currently in Australia, to furthur his studies. He was the Honourable Secretary of the Prefectorial Board of SMI. He just never ceases to amuse me with his corny and horny jokes and foolishness!! He just hates one thing about me...it's when I ask ..: Mun Hing ah?? Can do me a favour ah??
OH WENG KHIANG! ....my didi...well,
he would be more of a Brandon Walsh kinda person...adorable and
brotherly....after all, he is my didi.He is a real comfort
whenever you need a shoulder to cry on . We've had many ups and
downs..but he always turns out to be the best didi! Funny as he
is..he'll never cease to amuse me! Only flaw about him is that he
always loses his watch and gets everyone else hunting for it!! I
will never forget the time we stayed back in school and I walked
bare footed everywhere! That was the day someone had a birthday
celebration and he did nothing to protect me from being smashed
with cream!! Hah! Well, he is a really sweet person at heart!

MEET THE
REST OF THE TROOP....
-Well,
in every group, there has to be a flirt....meet one of my
funniest friends LEE LI HUA! She's
something like Rachel from 'FrIeNds' and a little of Alexandra
Cabot of Archie comics! I used to be able to keep track of her
boyfriends with two hands, can't do it now though! She's now
doing her first year in university in Australia! I've known her
since the primary school days and boy...has it caused me
headaches!!! You mention Li Hua...it comes with Trouble with a
capitol 'T'!! The scrapes I had to get her out of...sigh...those
were the days!! She is always the creative one, being the most
fashionable and having the most home-made stuff! She spoils me by
always sending me cards and bringing me stuff from Australia! She
is a good listener and a hand when you need one! Voted Biggest
Flirt hands down, her escapades with guys makes her most fondly
remembered by all.
-Ever
watched the movie E.T.?? Coco Beavers.....fat gettings.....the
head prefect of St. Michael's , Ipoh...Master ET himself....
Master ANDREW EMMANUEL THAMBIAH!! He's got a very
good bass voice , and he doesn't understand a single word of
Cantonese...except maybe if you say 'Leng Lui'!! He's one of my
closest friends...very well-known for his unpunctuality, though...and
always missing in action!! Sometimes, we sing together with a few
others , namely Lee Yin and Chun Yew..and we call ourselves the 'F.R.O.G.S.'.
- Ok,
everyone..to the tune of Happy New Year...1, 2 ,a, 1,2,3 : 'Oh my
dear old Chun Yew....when you see him, he say...#$@* you!! Oh my
Chun Yew, so darn 'mou liu'!!' Meet the Tasmanian Devil of my
class... Master CHOO CHUN YEW! A joker as he
is, he doesn't have to try really hard to make himself look
foolish! He is my class moniter and he never stops making us
laugh....he does a pretty good imitation of Michael Jackson...and
the Tas. Devil, though....at least for him, that's an
accomplishment!!! He is a very talented musician..plays the flute,
trumpet, guitar and a little bit of the piano!! He is now in
Apiit studying IT. Sometimes, he'll be my mamak store partner as
we live nearby. He is a friend to remember! We shared many funny
silly moments in school together, always getting hushed at when
we start to sing, yet sometimes, being begged to sing! There was
one day when we actually composed a song in 45 minutes, during
one whole period of GP, I think, and the song is up in this
homepage as well. Go check it out, it's called Simply

-Ah
wimba wab, ah wimba wib...in the jungle....the lion sleeps
toniteeee.....Pumbaa and Timon, makes the best pair ever...with
their hilarious jokes and stupendous expressions!! Meet the most
hilarious pair...SRI VIKNA ROHAN and JOANNA
CHUNG!! Together, they can really
make you cry in your seats!! As the dear old Butler and
Housekeeper in the school's play, 'The Sound of Music' 1996, they
were a great hit..and I couldn't help linking them to Pumbaa and
Timon!! I have known Rohan since he was a bratty 'lil kid. Rohan
is now the head prefect of SMI and he has a marvellouse voice,
and well, a sexy one too, when he tries to be! He is funny, well,
when he tries to be, and extremely generous! But not when we are
playing 'chor tai ti' and he is losing BIG time!! He has this
little Mr Happy piggy bank in front of him everytime we play at
his house. Unfortunately for us all, iti's his lucky charm...and
not ours!! His sister, Retna and I share the same birthday.
Joanna is such a sweetie pie...you'd love to cuddle her!
But
you know who really does the Lion Sleeps Tonight the best???? It's...drumroll....MARK CHAN KEAT JIN !! He's Pinky
and I'm the Brain..I'm da genious. and he's insane!!!!! Kekeke!
If you love Pinky and the Brain, you'll love Mark for he will
sing it for you with the dum dum dum dum and all!! He is a
fantabulous writer and together we sing to our hearts content.
Our favourite sing-a-long ,James Bond Tomorrow Never Dies!!He is
my 'makan' partner every Wednesday, and we will go galavanting
Bangsar after dinner! If you need a hand , Mark is eveready to
lend one! Such a gentlemen is he, he is the most thoughtful and
sweetest guy you can ever find! We have shared many moments in
SMI, co-emcess for The Golden Jubilee, Sixth Form Farewell, and
we sang the opening theme song at the Prefects Farewell with Lee
Yin and Vivienne. Mark is currently in UPM.
Love
loud noises? Love to know the ending of movies you're about to
watch? Love someone to fight with?? Love a guy who shouts
profanities all the time? Then you'll love WILLIAM YIP WEI
LIANG! William is now in USM Penang,
and he is on his way to becoming a swimming instructor. Probably
to get a good look at the gals! Well, he is one heck of a friend,
loyal and forever standing up for me! We worked at TGV Ipoh
together and boy was it fun! After work, together with Mark, we'd
grab a burger and eat in front of my house, at the padang. Then
one night, this suspicious car was rounding the padang and they
asked me to quickly get into the car. Eler..talk about being
protective! Mark, William, William's sister Su Lin, and I used to
watch horror movies in my house. And you should hear Mark scream!
William is willing to do anything for you and will never refuse
when you need help! William is now in USM Penang.
