Crocodiles of Indonesia:
None of the following species are usually legally exported as live specimens.
Crocodylus novaeguineae (CITES App. II) The New Guinea Freshwater Crocodile
Crocodylus porosus (CITES App. II) The Saltwater Crocodile
Crocodylus siamensis (CITES App. I) The Siamese Crocodile
Tomistoma schlegelii (CITES App. I) The False Gavial
Other species mentioned in literature: Crocodylus palustris - The Mugger Crocodile, Crocodylus raninus - The Borneo Freshwater Crocodile.

Anecdotal and unconfirmed information from different sources:
- Suppliers of live reptiles often offer baby Tomistoma schlegelii to dealers, suggesting that they may not as rare as people think. There is currently no data due to almost no trade demand in the species.
- Some people suggested that there may be a Tomistoma schlegelii population in Sulawesi.
- Someone caught a small crocodile (specimen not identified to species, presumably C. porosus) in a river in Jakarta in 1995. It may have been an escaped pet. So far there has been no other reports of crocodiles in the same area.
