Pattaya City' located in the east 149 km. from Bangkok, and is the chief city of the Province of Chonburi. Today Pattaya is Thailand's premeir beach resort and attracts annually more than a million tourists form all over the world. Pattaya provides high standard hotel, restaurant, sport, entertainment and shopping facilities. The resort is Thailand's most important diving center and the east coast is also a paradise for golfers.
Pattaya is the hub for numerous half and full day trips and overnight sightseeing excursions. Among Pattaya City's main attractions are :
  • Jomtien Beach, Jomtien is situated less than four kilometres south of Pattaya and only a short baht-bus trip from the centre of Pattaya. Without doubt this is one of the most popular daytime activitives for tourists in Pattaya. Jomtien Beach is not omly a clean, well maintained and popula swimming and sunning beach, but it also provides a never ending parade of attractions to keep you occupied. ;

  • Siracha Tiger Zoo is highly recommended. There you will find the world's largest collection of tigers, as well as hundreds of other animals all in a delightful.

  • The Nong Nooch Orchid Wanderland, will keep you and your family entertained with thousands of orchids and other exotic plants, authentic Thai houses, museums, elephants, monkeys, birds and mammals, and a fantastic daily show including and elephant battle. Its open daily 9.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.

  • Kho Larn and Kho Phi Island, The lager island you can see off the Pattaya coast is Kho Larn, with Kho Phi Island just beyond. You can water-ski, snorkel jet ski, para-sail, swim in the clear waters or just walk or sit on the cleanest of sand that even squeaks when you walk upon it. It standing in the centre of Pattaya, 240 metres tall.

  • Pattaya Park Tower, the best views of Pattaya can be had from the Observation decks. The charge for elevation to the top of the tower is waived if you are dining, Supping or drinking.

  • Khao Kheow Zoo, where the immense aviary covering some two acres houses over 100 species of birds. Most of the wide range of animals are kept in minimal security cages, although the twenty foot pythons are a good deep moat away. Kids will love the Kangaroos.

  • Bangsaen Aquarium, an excellent marine display, where you can see living examples of the Bay of Siam's inhabitants

  • International Snake Farm puts on hourly shows which involve a whole range of snakes, including huge cobras and deadly pythons. You can watch venom being milked from a live cobra.

  • The Million Year Stone Park and Crocodile Farm, features ancient rocks, lovely gardens and thousands of crocodiles.
