Three of the Rangers were selected to represent East Yorkshire County and one to represent the North East of England Region in International camps and visits in 2001 - to Our Cabana in Mexico, the International Scout and Guide camp in Sweden and two to Poland, also to a mixed Scout/Guide event - and just so she didn't feel left out, Dianne was asked to organise and run the group visiting Sweden!
The Our Cabana trip was for three weeks, staying in Our Cabana itself - if you would like to know more, check out their website, and the girls visiting Sweden took part in Scout 2001, the International Jamboree in Rinkaby, in the south of the country - the camp has its own website too. The Polish contingent travelled across Europe by bus and joined with Scouts for a two-week camp, renewing friendships previously forged.
