A mudflow that occurred during a great rainfall event on a limestone slope covered by pyroclastic materials.
Only the superficial layer (1-2 meters) slided on the surface between limestone and Vesuvio pyroclastic materials.
Fortunately the flow occurred during the night and no people was involved in the distruction of the industrial building that you can see on the left.
