Blue Mounds State Park, Rt.1, Luverne, MN 56156 (507)283-4892 Visitors Center (507)283-4548 20 miles southeast of Pipestone, off Hwy 75 Park opens 8 am to 10 pm, 73 semi modern sites, 40 electrical sites, one camping unit per site, 1 group camp, flush toliets and showers for registered campers only. picnic grounds with shelter, swimming beach, 13 miles of foot trails, sanitary dump stations, fishing and canoeing lake, herd of bison roaming the prairie.


Lake Shetek State Park, Rt 1 Box 164 Currie, MN 56123 (507)763-3256 32 miles east and north of Pipestone, off Hwy 30 ( North of Currie) Park opens 8 am to 10 pm, 88 semi modern sites, 68 electrical sites, 20 rustic sites, one camping unit per site, 1 group camp, 80 person group center, flush toliets and showers for registered campers only. picnic grounds with 2 shelter, swimming beach, 5.5 miles of foot trails, rental of boats and canoes and launch. Koch Cabin; historic site, Loon Island, Lake Shetek Monument, gift shop.


Camden State Park, Rt 1 Box 9, Lynd, MN 56157 (507)865-4530 40 miles Northeast of Pipestone, off Hwy 23 Park opens 8 am to 10 pm, 93 semi modern sites, 23 electrical sites, one camping unit per site, 1 group camp, flush toliets and showers for registered campers only. 2 picnic grounds and shelters, swimming beach, 10 miles of foot trails, 7.5 miles of horse trails, 3.8 miles of bike trails, 1 mile interpretive trail. sanitary dump station, Sioux Lookout Trail, trout fishing, bubbling clear springs. Fees: $4.00 daily, $18.00 annually Camping $12 with electricity $14.50 plus vehicle permit. Group Camping: reservations recommended, special rates for groups.
