Again...Again...Again

A word out of place
and he’s off
like a machine gun
strafing the ears
he tells them whats wrong
it's THEM not HIM
he's on their case

his ranting wreaks havoc
stomachs churn, nerves fray
as he goes on
and on
and on

forever critical, shouting
forever illogical, carping
all their inadequacies
are magnified by his eyes
bulging with an anger
an unexplainable burden
on their ears and souls
too imperfect for him
"Shut up and listen!"
