Wobbly Letters

IWW
These wobbly letters,
they mean(t) something
        eight hour days,
                 fighting against conscription

we, the bummery
shall emerge victorious
into a new world

all workers equal
skin don’t colour our judgement
we fight for freedom

they fought for democracy
the kind not found in parliament
now we do the same

IWW are letters I can respect
they point to somewhere
a place I’d like to go
unlike CIA, KGB, IMF
unlike NAFTA, MAI or WTO
