Additional comments:	The squirrel's foot fern is often used as a hanging basket. This squirrel's foot is planted in a wire basket lined with sphagnum moss. The furry rhizomes that have covered the basket resemble a squirrel's feet (if you use your imagination) hence the name. Our squirrel's foot hangs from a native oak tree. It receives shade all day long.
