I wanted to get up a little early today, skip 0600 formation, and throw a few extra miles in on the tuesday PT ruck. Of course work interfered with that plan and I had to be in the commander's office at 0700. I tried to get up at 0400 but it just...yeah...that just didn't happen.

More knuckleheads today too. Loooovely.

The Judge Advocate (lawyer), CPT K., leaves tomorrow for her next assignment so we gathered at the Royal Resteraunt and all had one last lunch. I'll miss her...but then that's just the way the military works and you get used to it after a while.

I left work today about an hour early to do my ruck...and I'm not going to list these little short ones as actual training hikes anymore. I wanted to do more than I did but... what I WILL say about the ruck, however, is that 80lbs at 90+ F and 90+ Humidity makes even 4 miles seem a bad idea. 

I got a refund check from Ford Credit today. Seems I overpaid my car by $2.68. Go me! I can take that money and um...rent a movie and buy a sodie pop! Yay. Someone shoot me before I spontaneiously combust from all this excitement. It did at least serve as the first real acknowledgement I've gotten so far that my car is now MY car!

Tomorrow morning is my second transitioning appointment. What I would like to do is sham and take the rest of the day off afterwards but I actually have to go back in after lunch because of the new and the not quite so new knuckleheads.

Just unbridled joy all over the place I tell you.
