I lost some poems--musta just deleted the file thinking it was an old outdated one..ah well...small comfort in the fact that I didn't think those two particular poems were very good anyway.

That's it for now--got other things to go do...

Pearl Jam "given to Fly" (single)

So there are a couple of recent poems uploaded now To the "Powerfull", and Driving (No, unfortunetly, *not* the ones I mentioned losing, these two are other poems)
Another fellow journaler gets his mention due to contact with me: The Bliss Point
a cool take on family life--the underlining gets on my nerves at times...but otherwise, solid--check it out.
He's got good taste in literature, too.

OK, so that journal links page is gonna change soon, maybe tonight. I finally got off my ass and figured out how to do bookmarks in Lynx. I guess to some extent it was denial I had to use Lynx that kept me from this earlier--I dunno. Point is that section of this journal system will be more user friendly...maybe even brief blurbs about the journals contained therein! I simply cannot afford another bill right now--not even a simple monthly isp bill...

I've been looking at my Chilton pontiac repair book a bit lately--I'm rather certain I can do the master cylinder stuff on my own--seems rather straightforward...all I need is somone to help bleed the hydraulics--hell, all that help entails is turning a screw when I say so...simple shit--Liz could do it, whatever. No weird placements, or odd angles...none of that crap I usually get with that tiny little, packed in their every way ***BUT FAR*** from loose car engine/motor/parts/junk. that'll save a pile of dough, I'm sure--hell, It may just need some a few serviceable parts--prolly like $10 (i'm hoping.) Regardless, it's still driveable--I just gotta pump the clutch to build up pressure--and that's just for 1st gear--everything else is fine--really leading me to believe it's just a couple $10 parts...hell, bleeding the hydraulics alone might rectify it...

Went and saw greg again oday--dropped off a book he wanted to borrow--picked up a book *i* wanted to borrow--confirmer the source on one of my TOOL DAT's--demo's from '91 I got a while back from unknown source--seems to an analog transfer from a bootleg CD (Opium Den) to DAT--feeding the line in on the DAT from the line out on the CD...running it through an D/A conversion on the CD player, and a A/D conversion on the DAT...

They're still going at Civ II...a different world this time, one they created with the world editor I assume.

Bummed a cigarette from Greg...no shakes right now telling me to get another--that's a good sign. Dinner was spaghetti. anything else need to be stated here? relatively happy. i might watch killing zoe again in a few minutes...there's a guy in Redwood City who might loan me a real nice mic/preamp settup to tape the Maui show with...I need to call him in a few minutes too...

The Nutcracker Suite--Chicago Symphony Orch.--Solti

Liz just came in to tell me you didn't want me using her coffee grinder anymore. "I don't use it for coffee--just herbs and stuff". AAAGGGHHH...great. Now I'm going to need a new coffee grinder. I'd been using that one for weeks now and she never said anything. I mean, it's hers and all, so it's nto like I can really feal *wronged*, but still, annoyed is a good description of it. At least I got that air tight coffee keeper urn from Mom...I can grind up a good bit of that whole damn 2lb San Fran Bay coffee I got...but I *need* a new coffee grinder now...fuck, that's another $10. I *hate* drinking pre ground coffee. tastes crappy even when it's good quality beans...jyah, I'm spoiled.

AKG 480 w/ omni/cardiod/hypercardiod caps + a Sanosax preamp--thats what the guy in redwood ciy said he can loan me! Fuckin bad ass--some *real* nice shit....+ the sbm1 that carl is loanign me...I'm gonna have such a great, smokin' tape! aaaaahhhhhhhhh....content. Kurt is going with with schoeps CCM 4's...Bill's going with his sonic Studios DSM6 + SBM1...matt is going with probably a Sony ECM939--there are gonna be a wide variety of tapes of this show for treeing. not like the last show in maui--incomplete tapes only exist (but then, they're soundboard I think--i have neither of them, so don't know for sure...)

YAY--some fucking *good* news for once.

PJ 11.25.96 Lisbon Portugal, Cascais Pavillion. The DAT master of this show (i got a copy on analog b4 going DAT) was made by a man from Oz land who travelled with the band on the entire Euro leg of the 96 PJ Tour...god I want to do that someday...

so the jlinx is redone now--I even did manage brief blurbs. I finished reading _Gravity's Rainbow_ finally...what a monster of a novel, truly and assuridly a masterpiece of fiction. Took me I think four or five months to get through it what with school 'n' all...I have some fond memories of reading that book in august 96--at the two Lollapalloza shows I saw last year...ahh music...come to me now ;)

I'm on to some Stephen King now--page turning easily comprehendable stuff I suppose. I've been told this Dark Tower series is grea though--haven't heard a bad thing. Besides, it's a nice light break. Can't read joyce, then pynchon, then faulkner than tolstoy then...as I would like...mind gets overloaded/bogged down...can't happen--need to stir thigns about--fluff over that grey matter a bit with some lighter reading...

I've only read _The Stand_ by King, well, _Talisman_ too--coauthored with Straub that one...(btw, i heard the ending of the TV version of _The Stand_ sucked--glad I missed part two then...) but King's been good enough so far I guess...

But then, I sound like I'm trying t odefend my choice of literature here...why should i? Not like I'm saying, yeah, now Im gonna try to tackle _Go Dog Go_ (which was, incidently, my *favorite* children's book!)

I dunno. Look at me here, friday night and I'm sitting in front of this pixelated source of light...course, I can't really spare the coin to go out anyway, so what does it matter?
Someone asks me what I did friday night..."I cleaned my room". Ain't that exciting? But it's the truth--the room was a trifle messy--papers and books and clothes and packs lying around on the floor...much nicer now.

Now I'm just putting off real writing cuz I'm afraid of what will come out I suppose...due to a little prodding by ben I've come up with some ideas abou a plot for my story...
