So it happened like I knew it would...as soon as the other guy who lived off base moved his stuff outta the room, another soldier moved in...not to fault him, he seems a rather decent chap, but I was *way* too accustomed to living on my own again. Having a roomate sucks. But there's nothing I can do about it...at least not until I make NCO, which should be another couple years...*sigh*
Finished off that article 15 today. The detachment CO gave the 2nd reading and the punishment...apparently the soldier had violated her quarters confinement (on quarters by doctors order) to go out with her boyfriend who'd come to see her...the whole reason she was in trouble in the *first* place was that man...some people just never learn I suppose...stupid girl, can't believe she'd fake it.
Deception is one thing I cannot stand, and, if it was me as CO, I would have stripped some rank from her shoulders...but that was not the case...14 days restriction, 14 days extra duty...She consciously lied to her supervisor who'd been kind enough to grant emergency leave to see her "ailing father" and went off to kentucky or something to see her boyfriend instead...then violated another lawful order to reamin on her quarters...hell I might have even recommended a field grade art. 15...
But I don't make those decisions...
Today was safety day == six classes on various safety items...airborne ops, drinking/driver/swimming...actually got to see the car that was totaled by the four soldiers we're even now doing articles and chapters on for drunk driving nad illegal substances...it was an eary hard hitting reality to the paperwork...
Got into a D & D campaign with Joshua Campbell as DM...w/ Rich Miragliotta running a character whose merits I dissaprove off...a kit character combing healer, cleric, and martial artist...IMHO he's just a little **TOO** powerful...but i'm not the DM so I can't say...I at least am getting to play a Knight of Solamnia...We played Saturday night and was bored shitless nearly the entire time...nothing was happening, it was characters just meeint each other, and there was no real roleplaying going one it seemed...There was a lapse @ midnight and I took it for the end of the session, and, bored as I was, I took the opportunity and ran with it...but it wasn't the end and I missed out...
Honestly, I really don't care...so far I am unimpressed with the DM and the campaign and am now wondering whether to bother staying involved...
Battalion Run this morning...I was road guard, and, my first action was to violently wrench my left ankle stepping off the curb...it wasn;t nearly as bad as it was when i'd done that in AIT, but I was forced to limp for a few steps and drew concern from the sergeant major...but I inclinated that I'd be OK with just a few more steps to walk it off and ran the 4 miles OK...it was a good workout--actually a decent pace and all the duties as a roadguard requiring sprints was excellent.
1SGT's bday today--Sgt Krause got cupcakes for him and we had a little informal mini party...good cupcakes...
I believe me memory upgrade chip has been delivered--i got a yellow Post Office slip in my mailbox...wahoo!!! I wrote some bills and set up my credit card cash back checks for mailing tomorrow, bummer!

game. Reminds me of days/nights spent at school...
