Moon light

When the clouds all disappear from sight,
I stare in amazement at the starry night.
Glistening brighter than your eyes,
are the millions of stars in the moonlit sky.
I lie on my back and take it all in.
I think of you, but don't know where to begin.
Should I start with the many days we're apart?
Or try to explain how you've stolen my heart?
If We only spent one night together.
One night of bliss.
It would start with a smile, and ended with a kiss.
Everything I see reminds me of you,
so when I missing you,
there's only one thing to do.
I wait for night to fall and the skies to clear,
then I head outside while whipping away a tear.
I pick out one star shining ever so bright,
and wish for you to have the same star in sight.
So no matter if you're near or far,
we'll both be under the very same star
