Vathida Valley - Raluca's Paradise
We found this place one day by accident. We were lost on some small road in Thailand, and just as I was beginning to get discouraged, Ed found this place. It is a 'resort' built in the jungle, a little old and decripit, but with lots of character because of it. There is abundant vegetation and life all around. The two older ladies who own the place are very nice and hospitable. What I liked most about this place was how harmonious it seemed, everything seemed to fit perfectly together: the flowers, the trees, the little stream running by, the dogs lazing around and the lizzards on the walls, the birds chirping, and even the people seemed to fit in - not too intrusive or invading.
We spent 2 full days there. The first morning I got up, got my camera and went out to enjoy the flowers and the birds. Following are some flower pictures I took. |
