Just North of Ramsey lies the small village of "Ramsey St Marys". This small village has a atmosphere all of its own. The village as it stands today has a church, village shop, local school and a public house.
The church now stands spireless and has recently received a lottery grant to repair the roof.

Not many people remember the church with a spire which was dismantled in 1929 but as the picture below shows, it obviously did have one. This picture also shows the original bridge. A bridge still stands in exactly the same place but was replaced many years ago. The below picture is taken from exactly the same angle as the above picture but from a different period in time.
