Well, here it is as of 19 Sept. Note that it's still running a 650 Holley Vacuum Secondary and a junk yard Escort coil. The carb hat is from a early Buick T type and fit great. Shoot, it even points in the right direction. The inlet pipe is 3" exhaust pipe and the rubber hose came off a White big Diesel tractor in the junkyards cause I couldn't find new hose anywhere local. The header wrap is coming off and I need to get some auto duty stuff to replace it. I had trouble a few days ago with the DP running lean and the headers were glowing dull orange after I got back home. Very scary.

Once I got the intercoolers hooked up I still had to get the fuel system working right to give proper fuel enrichment under boost. So far it's taking a little while to get it figured out. A few weeks ago I had it running with just the turbo exhaust hooked up and no boost, I ran a dissapointing 14.4 at 98 mph. The next day I took the turbos back off and opened up the exhaust housing so it could get the exhaust gasses to the turbine better. What started out as a 3/4" hole was soon a 1.25" hole and I opened the scroll up to get the exhaust flow to the turbine as easily as possible. After the work there was a noticable seat of the pants improvement. Now I have a 800DP on and under boost trying to get it running right. I have a Autometer A/F ratio meter and it's helping greatly. I was running lean when I started and now it's doing well, but still hesitates and acts up.

What does it feel like? With 3.55 gears first is a waste, oh yeah, it's still a five speed. In second rolling at idle it'll bog if I floor it which I expect, but if I feed it throttle it'll boost at 2,000rpm and blow the tires off violently. I saw 8lbs last weekend and crushed the front float which was a bummer. Now it has solid floats and I need time to get it tuned in right and working correctly. It's great running around at part throttle. feels like a 460 or bigger under the hood. Then there are the looks when the turbo whine kicks in and the rear breaks loose all over the place.

Spent the last few days getting the basics covered better. I had a Jacobs ignition system given to me to try out and it made a big difference in throttle responce down low. I also got a Modine 3 core brass radiator from Advance Auto Parts for $149. It mad a significant improvement in cooling. Above you can see how I had to cut the stock 5.0 hose and graft it into my other hose with some 1.5" EMT. Also note that the radiator looks factory stock. You can also see the Taurus electric fan that keep this beast cool. What else? In the drivers side fender you can see the '68 stock Fairlane 500 windshield washer fluid tank that works great as a coolant recovery. You may also notice the heat shield around the alternator. I did that during my last week with Phoenix color. I also fabbed header covers to keep the heat from the master cylinder. Knew I was gone so I spent a little time on the home projects/
