Appearance: He looks young for his age - more or less around the mid-30s. But Rayford still has that mature, "fatherly" look about him, probably stemming from his advanced years of experience that his son, Randall, has not yet aquired. He's strongly built and keeps himself in shape, being that he is in charge of a very demanding job. He has two arms and two legs and light blue speckles running down his royal purple back.

How I created him: I'm a fan of the "Left Behind: The Kids" series and the LB movies by Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. So, I was reading one of the books as I began developing "Dangerous Secrets" - the first fiction I featured Randall's father in - and my eyes rested on the name "Rayford Steele", the brave 747 airline pilot in the adults' series. I fell in love with his personality and thought that that's the kind of fatherly figure Randall would need. I also needed an original-sounding name for Randall's dad that started with a "R", cuz I figure that R's were passed down through the Boggs generations. It just came naturally from there.

Meaning: Naomi means "beautiful, pleasant, delightful" in Hebrew - Adara means "fire" in Hebrew

Hair: Wavy, chocolate brown hair
Appearance: She's not your typical mom - but at the same time she can switch from karate-kickin' mom to typical housewife in a matter of seconds. She sports soothing, pink-colored scales and four limbs. Her favorite clothing to wear is a simple, forest-green sweater (she says it brings out her green eyes).

Job: First Lady of the SSO and Mother
Most likely to be voiced by: Glenn Close (Kala in Tarzan)
Two words to describe her: Compassionate and Capable
How I created her: Of course, if Randall had a father he needed a mother too, right? It was only natural for me to think of her once Rayford came up. So, after creating Rayford, I began creating Naomi. She went through a few phases (of color, personality, and such) before I finally came up with my final creation. I have to say, I'm very satisfied with her too. I always loved the name Naomi for Randall's mother, because - to me - it sounded really motherly (maybe it was in the meaning). So, thus I kept it as her name all throughout her development.

Name: Leia Sue Kawaii
Meaning: Leia means "flower" in Hawaiian - Kawaii means "cute" in Japanese
Age: 27

Born: Lanai, Hawaii - Monster World
Eyes: Pink
Hair: Long, golden blonde
Appearance: Ocean blue scales, with speckles of turquoise and white. Has two arms and two legs. Wears a pink and sea green, long-sleeved, Japanese-kimono-like shirt cut just below her chest. She also wears a short, white skirt that allows her tail to stick out from underneath or faded jeans that have a hole in the back for her tail.

How I created her: I really wanted to make a character that would make a wonderful girlfriend for Randall once I began writing a fan fiction. I had, awhile back, came up with a girl lizard-monster named Kelsey. But after awhile, I wasn't satisfied with her looks. She didn't look original at all, except for the hair and eyelashes. She basically looked exactly like Randall, but more girlish. Still, though, I wanted her to be the same species of monster as Randall. So, after a few renovations and changes I came up with the lovely, and now original Leia. Her personality is a twist off of my personality, so she's kind of what I would like to look like if I were a monster.

Name: Caylin Lee Swisher ("Cay")
Meaning: Lee means "field" or "meadow" (proof of how brilliantly green he is! lol)
Age: 28
Height: 6'
Weight: 257 lbs.
Born: Australia, Monster World
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Has a crest of light blonde hair that arc over his face and spiky hair the rest of the way.
Appearance: He's green with red spots down his back and a lighter green underside, much like a Madagascar Day Gecko. He also always seems to carry a cheerful attitude around with him. He has two arms and two legs like Leia, but they're webbed for swimming.
Other: Like Mike, he is the humorous type. He especially likes playing pranks on his fellow workers. He's not the type you'd expect Randall to hang around with, but they were best friends since they were five-year-olds. And Randall just couldn't get rid of him since then. (lol) So, aside from Caylin's continuous humor and pranks, Randall still has a strange liking for him. Maybe it was because they grew up together, but whatever the reason, they still see each other often.

How I created him: I'm not sure myself. lol. I guess I got a bit of inspiration from the cute GEICO spokesgecko (if any of you know what I'm talking about). I just started drawing one day out of boredom and came up with this cool character and decided to include him in the world of monsters. I just winged it on the name too. I was playing around with names that had (probably) never been thought of before and Caylin just sparked up. I think it sounds perfect for him. So, now I have a total ying-and-yang with pairing Randall with Caylin. Interesting, is it not?
