Possibly the Only Entry Which Will Ever be Merely "Chatty"

24JUN2001

Today ends my first weekend drill since returning from AIT. Depressingly, there was no real training going on for my MOS . . . a couple of the other MOSs had classes, but none for us. =( I spent the last two days trying to do personal paperwork. On the bright side, I was promoted to PFC today, so gooooodbye mosquito wings!

I bought Myst III: Exile on Friday, but haven't played it yet. I was (am) hoping to be able to play it with a friend, but don't really know if it's up her alley. It's beautiful and atmospheric, and requires thought . . . all things she can appreciate. Whether in this medium, I don't know. (I'm inserting this parenthetical expression on 19JUL2001: It's not happening.)

Whatever one's differences with the genre, the Myst games are breathtaking.

It's about darn time I actually started renovating this web page. It's been bugging me for weeks, as has the need to start writing again. Why I would ever stop, I can't tell you, (oh, wait; people! good things, people) but as soon as I realize I'm not writing, I hate it. I wrote the intro to a story in AIT co-inspired by Anne Rice and a burgeoning friend, but I keep not wanting to write the story as planned, and thus don't. Go figure. I'm sure it'll be somewhere on this site fairly soon. If there's enough interest, I'll write more. Rachel likes it, that's one!
