Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates his own love for us
in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Above all, I am a Christian. I believe in God who
made Himself known to us in the Person of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, I
believe that Christ died to pay the price for my sin. Therefore, I am
now enabled to live the way God wants me to live. While many people
don't think much about religion, I happen to enjoy open dialogue over
spiritual matters. So if you're interested feel free to ask me more
about what and why I believe.
Compelling Thoughts:
The best that we could ever hope for is that God exists
and that we are loved by Him. The alternatives are hopeless. The
absence of
God means nothing in life or death really matters. Also being God's enemy would be
eternally devastating. - Gene Hong
My desire for happiness and God's desire for His glory
must be one. God is most glorified in me when I am most satisfied in
Him! - John Piper's "Desiring God"
For God to be God, He must be the most desirable of all
and should demand our ultimate affection. Only God is worthy of such
attention. To deny Him would be to make two fatal errors: 1) to forfeit unimaginable joy and
2) to offend the Almighty.
Therefore this rejection of God is insane. Jeremiah affirms this when
he writes, "Be appalled at this, O heavens, and
shudder with great horror," declares the LORD. "My people have
committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and
have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water (Jer.
2:12-13)." - John Piper
