The Dream (Part 2)

His friends told him to put it on the 4 digit draw. " Don't tell anyone the number ," Samy the office attendant advised, " That's suay. Just put it on. Sure win."

After all that he was more than convinced that he had the winning combination for the week's draw. He was confident enough to borrow twenty dollars to punt on the number.

He never heard the shout.

Out from the junction a bus emerged. In a hurried rage. It hit him from behind and flung him into a somersault .

As he fell on the road, the blood oozing from his head and body, he saw, with incredulous horror, a group of schoolboys staring at him . Their faces twisted in horror. The school boys in his dream. Their faces pressed against the glass windshield of the bus.

As the numbness and pain descended he managed, in that brief moments before death, to gaze downwards at the number plate of the bus.

It was his dream , after all. His omen.
