Half A Friend

A man boasted that he had many friends.

His friend said that he had only half a friend.

The man found this surprising.

"How can anyone have only half a friend?" he asked.

" It is like this," the friend said, " once I told my only friend

that my wife constantly nagged me, bullied me and made life

meaningless to live. Without a thought, he lent me his knife."

Moral: It is better to have no friend at all than to have half a friend.
