| Hosanna
Again! by Cathy Vinson |

A moment
of history fills our minds when the greatest filling up of earth's glory knew praise
rising up to the beloved Son. As Jesus entered Jerusalem 1960-some years ago, the earth
experienced a teaser which engaged it into an expectant wait that has lasted centuries
longer. Every molecule of matter would now await release when Jesus comes in His glory. If
you listen, can you sense the pangs of anticipated excitement?
The dynamics of Jesus' procession shook the earth. It filled the air. Perhaps the only
time in history, crowd and mob intensity experienced its rightful peak. Crowds proceeded,
crowds followed for Jesus Christ (Mt 21: 8,9). "WHO is this?" (vs 10) "This
is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee" (vs 11)!
Receiving Jesus by intellect alone was only possible for a few. Every other sense of human
life was filled to the brim. "The whole city was stirred" (vs 10). Praise had to
be duly extended or people would have exploded. Release must come through praise or the
rocks would spew it forth!
Expression took the form of shouting, singing, shouting some more, and throwing cloaks
before His oncoming path.
In longing may we bring our whole beings to this scene. An even greater Day is
approaching, a day when each of our senses shall find relief in the revealing of the Lord
of lords, Jesus of Nazareth.
Preparation...practicing...rehearsals. "My heart and FLESH sing for joy to the living
God" (Ps 84:2). Could reservations now only serve to clog up the channels when
rushing streams would be pouring out? "Bless the Lord, O my soul, AND ALL THAT IS
WITHIN ME! Bless His holy Name!" (Ps 103:1)
