2pac Biters.... By Lil' Killa

With the recent deaths of Tupac Shakur, Big Pun, and Notorious BIG, the scene at hip hop has done nothing but changed.
From the early 90's break dancing groups like RUN DMC to the eruption of police hatin NWA and now to the money grabbing pop-rap like Puff Daddy hip hop has not stayed the same. Hip hop is not just a song or a group but a culture and that culture is dying. Scarface's new album "The Last of A Dying Breed" can pretty much sum up the state of hip hop. With old school legends turning flat like Snoop and Dre rap has not found a saviour. Underground rap groups like the Dead Prez with their lyricly amazing album "Let's Get Free" seem to be one of the good groups who haven't gone pop. Rappers like Puff Daddy, excuse me P. Diddy, Black Rob, Cash Money Clique are dragging down hip hop like a fat bitch on an elevator. The lack of being real and representing for what you believe in seems to be fading quick. It's all about money right now, even though there are still some! top notch rappers out there. Bone Thugs N Harmony, Do or Die, DMX, Kurupt, The Outlawz, top of the list for artists who are still holding down the rap indusrty. Old school playas like Dr. Dre and snoop have been fading quicker than bad jeans. Although rap may be better then it was 5 years ago, mainstream rap has ultimately gone shit. The wrong people are getting more air on TV than the peeps who really deserve it. I was watching 106 and Park and saw Puff rank higher than Pac, we need to open our eyes cuz we going blind. It seems the deaths of legends may also be the death of good mainstream rap. Until another Tupac, another Eazy E, another BIG or Pun, we'll hafta keep our heads up and support real music and just say no to gay ass rap. Peace
