All right, first entry.::She slaps her hands together, rubs them vigorously to get the creative blood pumping, then returns after a few minutes with Neosporin all over the frictional burn marks.::
...hate it when that happens. ^_~;;; Hello, all, and welcome to the Wonderful World of Leaina-arni. [Which is my super-personal spiritual name, actually, and is Greek for Lioness-lamb.] Yes, that's the name I'll be going by throughout the writing of this diaryblahblahblahthing. I know, the whole not-using-my-real-name thing is kind of dumb, but still. I figure, he!!, why not put all kinds of deep, gushy personal stuff in here? It's not like I *know* anyone who's going to be reading my entries, and even the people who I'll give the link to will be those I trust. Not like I'm going to be giving next year's college advisors the link to this page so that they can read my most intimates of intimate. And I'm prating on about absolutely nothing, I know. But isn't that what this is for, kind of?
Let's see, today, today...
Goodness, I'm not in a contemplative mood this evening at all. Today nothing happened but my meeting with the lovely Linda, a super-cool freshman who turned out to be the 'Lil Sis of one of my good friends and a writer who goes into trances while writing. And I was bitten on the shoulder [just... randomly] by my friend Izzy, short for Elizabeth. Lesbians are odd, don't you think? Though, granted, I'm a nice healthy 2 on the Kinsey scale, so I could be considered one myself in some factions.
Anyhow, the current state of affairs is leading me to pursue various physical activities that might make me more flexible and get rid of extra pudge making my prom dress lumpy. Not like I have a whole he!! of a lot of time, but still. One month should be enough to make myself at least more confident... or find a dress that isn't velvet. A-heh.
Another new thing lately is my religion... I've finally actually figured out what it *was,* after about two years of wandering aimlessly and sporadic bursts of I-Want-To-Know. I'm a New Age Practitioner, with a philosophic base in mostly Taoism, and including Hindu and Yoga (specifically, Raja Yoga). Phew. Long thing to say, no? Today, though, someone actually told me a good idea. Since I'm going to Rhodes next year, a mainly Presbyterian college, I could start up an Alternative Religions club, one which promotes religious tolerance and knowlege. As the Hindus say,
"Ekam Sataha Vipraha Bahudha Vadanti"
= "The truth is One, but different Sages call it by Different Names" =...which is one of the main reasons I subscribe to Hindu philosophy, among other things.
I can't really think of anything more to say, you know that? Goodness, after all this time, I've run out of rantings. Anyhow, I'll post again later/soon. Whenver I think of it, I suppose. Out for now!
Hail and Farewell,
Leaina-arni/Lioness-lamb
