Bulma's Life.....Like It Is! And What It Once Was......
Chapter 51: Wanted

She should have felt the way any teenage girl would at being so wanted....happy. But all she felt was fear.

I grabbed Chichi's hand and pulled her up. "We have to go warn Yamcha! Maybe he can sense Goku!" I said, and ran to the house, Chichi in tow.

I threw open the screen door and looked around for signs of Yamcha. Chichi ran up to his room, but came back too soon, a note in her hands and her face deathly pale.

"He's gone to his apartment in the city, to see what he can do," She said, her eyes worried and scared. "He left us! He left us alone to die!" Her voice got shrill and I went over to calm her. The note confirmed her words, and my own face went white, but for different reasons.

He was in the air, where the Saiyans could see him, and the city was in the most trouble. He wasn't near strong enough for any kind of heroics! I shuddered. Chichi cried softly, in fear rather than sadness.

I heard something outside, and I went to the door to see Goku landing, his face troubled and eyes downcast. My heart sank down to my feet and I could hear Chichi run up behind me. Goku shook his head sadly, head down. He came in and brushed past both of us.

"They are already stationed all around, and some of the country is already taken over, from what I hear. They sent for reinforcements, and over a couple million Saiyans are invading major cities all over the world. And Bulma, they are searching for you every second. Vegeta is very angry that you left and will not be happy once he finds you, I think," Goku said, his voice tired.

I was shocked. A couple *million*? I ran to the TV and turned on the News station. A worried reporter was talking about the invasion, showing pictures of ruined cities and people being dragged away in chains. There were various bomb shelters that were being filled, but the Saiyans were everywhere.

Chichi sat crying on the couch, and I felt tears come to my own eyes, spilling over. I could tell that Goku was angry that he couldn't do anything, hardly at all. I knew that he wanted to do *something*!

"Bulma, do you know if they will listen to me if I wanted to talk to them?" He asked, with the tone of voice that I guessed meant he had an idea.

My own voice dripped with doubt. "Goku, I am so sorry, but I very much doubt it. They have to have something in it for them," I said, and then I got on the same wavelength that Goku was on. I covered my mouth with my hand, shocked.

Goku nodded, his smile growing big. "Don't worry, Bulma, as long as you are with me, I won't let anyone take you." He gave me a thumbs-up.

I smiled, almost feeling like there was some hope. It was worth a try, what did we have to lose? After all, we didn't know how desperate the Saiyans were for help, but by now they must know that Earth is more complicated than they had originally thought. I felt someone tug on my arm, and I saw that Chichi was standing next to me, hands on hips.

"No! Goku, I cannot believe that you would put Bulma in such danger!" She scolded, making even *me* feel ashamed. "She could be killed or taken again or worse!"

"Aw Chichi! She won't, I will be there to protect her. Besides, we don't even know if they still want her!" Goku pleaded, giving Chichi a sad look. "Please?"

Chichi crossed her arms and looked at me, then him critically. "Fine! But if she is harmed, Goku, I will have to punish you! No meals for the rest of the day," She said, and stomped into the kitchen.

I smiled and cheered, as well as Goku. We both stopped when Chichi cleared her throat from the kitchen. We smiled with shame, and went on with our plans.

We flew towards where the Saiyans currently were, on the side of Chicago that hadn't been taken over yet. They were doing a good job, a very good job. People were being killed, led away to be slaves, or in hiding. The buildings were scorched and some were completely destroyed. I could plainly see where *Vegeta* had been, the damage was very much more...devastating.

"Goku, can you sense them?" I asked, my voice slightly scared.

"Bulma, no, I can't. I am really thinking that they have sensed *me*, and are planning to sneak up on us!" Goku said, his own voice scared, something that didn't happen often. I held my arms a little tighter around his neck and prayed. I *knew* that Vegeta could mask his ki, but something was driving me agaisnt telling Goku.

"Well, well, well, Nappa, is that the Weakest Saiyan of Them All?" An amused voice from behind us jaunted. I recognized it as Raditz's, and remembered that he was Goku's *brother*!

"Yes, it *is* our little Kakkarott! I see that your brother may have been getting some!" Nappa jeered, and I felt myself grow angry.

Goku whirled and they saw who I was, and they didn't say anything like *that* anymore. I was surprised that Vegeta wasn't here, these were his head goonies. Goku went tense, he knew that Raditz was his brother, he could sense it.

"We finally meet, brother," Raditz said, and crossed his arms. "But you are on dangerous ground, the woman is wanted."

Nappa did so also, and glared at me. "Yes, turn her over and no one will get hurt....too bad!" They found this terribly funny, and started cracking up.

"Well, I am glad to know that you think yourselves witty, you would be rather cruel to yourselves by really knowing the sad truth," I said sarcastically, and they looked up, shocked. They hadn't expected me to speak up.

"Hey! Raditz, did that woman just diss us?!" Nappa screeched, like a little insulted girl.

I laughed a cold laugh, one that scared both Goku and myself. "Aw, poor little baby," I cooed and kicked Goku's arm. "Let's go!" I said, only so he could hear.

He nodded and took off at top speed. I could hear Raditz and Nappa let out cries of surprise and take off after us. Goku sped up even more, if that was possible, and it was hard on him, I could tell. I felt bad for him, it *was* my fault that the two dickheads were chasing us. I closed my eyes, both from the harsh wind and my whipping hair, which had fallen out of it's ponytail by now. I was afraid that the speed would whip my curls straight out!

All of a sudden, Goku stopped short, sending me surging forward, and out of his arms. I fell towards the ground, screaming, before I was caught. By someone other than Goku. I looked up, and my heart seemed to leap and sink at the same time. Vegeta. I pounded at his back, I was slung across his shoulder, and screamed.

"Shut up, woman," He growled, and floated up to where Goku was floating, looking shocked and scared at the same time. He didn't quite register the fact that he was in deep stuff, and so was I. Our almost foolproof plan had failed, miserably.

"No! Let me *go*!" I sceamed, and he laughed at me.

"I am not a retard like Kakkarott, woman, I plan to go through with this." I couldn't see his face, because of my uncomfortable postion across his shoulder, but I betted that it was arrogant and he was smirking.

"Let her go!" Goku warned, getting his courage up at last. "Or I-I-I'll hurt you!"

I sighed and rolled my eyes, and Vegeta heard. "I should have known that you would find someone to play superhero for you."

I growled and he laughed at that, too. "You really think that you are making a difference? I won, and you know it! You might as well surrender now and get it over with." He said this to both of us, and I could hear Goku gritt his teeth.

I had to escape somehow, and create a distraction before Vegeta killed Goku. I looked frantically around, and saw no one but Nappa and Raditz nearby, waiting for the bloody show sure to come. They cackled when they met my glance. I glared and looked at the ground, no water, below. I was above a lake, and this struck an idea in my head. This had better work, or I was history!

I sank my teeth into his back, and he shouted with pain, dropping me. I fell to the lake below, screaming. Goku woke up and caught me before I fell into the dark depths. I breathed a sigh of relief, and Goku sped away as fast as he could, trying to shake off the two other Saiyans, whom Vegeta had screamed to catch, I quote: That blue-haired bitch and dumbass retard Kakkarott.

Goku looked back and saw that they were closing in fast. He twisted in and out of the buildings, trying to slow them down and get away as fast as he could. He searched the ground, for what, I didn't know, until he landed quickly and I slid out of his arms, onto the ground. I looked up at him, shocked and scared.

"Bulma! They will catch me, and you can't afford that! I will be back for you!" He promised, and took off, leaving me alone, abandoned, and scared in his wake.

I whimpered, Vegeta was still out there, just a large fraction more pissed than before.
