Bulma's Life.....Like It Is! And What It Once Was......
Chapter 57: Acceptence

Only a girl like her could learn to accept her fate so fast.

The wind blew my long hair in my face, and I pulled it back, for the millionth time it seemed. Vegeta growled, and I wished that I had somekind of hair tie on me. I was in the process of putting my hair in a French twist when Vegeta stopped short, nearly sending me into the twisted concrete below. This place looked like a tornado had ripped through!

"What was that for?" I protested, and my twist fell out, sending my long hair all over again.

"Kakkarott is nearby," Vegeta said, and searched the ground. I did also, but gave up once my long curls got in the way again. "There!" He said, and I saw a small orange shape below us. Vegeta floated down, slower than usual, for he had to carry me, and landed next to him.

I jumped out of his arms and to Goku. He groaned and opened his eyes. They got wide and he sat up, having some trouble even doing that.

"Bulma?!" He said, and another breeze blew my hair practically in his face. "Yep, that's you all right, unless someone else has blue hair."

"Very funny!" I said, and grabbed his arms. "I am going to get you some help, you look like...well like shit."

He laughed. "Chichi is probably worried, I had better go home!" He protested.

"No, Goku, trust me, she will pass out if she sees you like this," I said, and gritted my teeth. "Vegeta, come help me."

Goku glanced over in Vegeta direction. I turned my back on Goku and glared at Vegeta. I heard a gasp behind me and rolled my eyes.

"I know, I know it's there, Goku, just-just try to get up, I have to go force the ass to help," I said, and walked over to Vegeta. "Help me!"

He shook his head. "I said I would *take* you here, not play doctor, so lay off!"

I glared and grabbed his arm. "Come *on*!" I screamed, my temper getting away with me.

He started and growled under his breath. "Fine."

He pulled Goku to his feet effortlessly, and stood there, glaring, arms across his chest in his usual stance. Goku stared back, his eyes worried. I sighed and walked in between them.

"Sorry to break it up, boys, but we sorta have to go!" I said, and they came back to life. Vegeta glared at Goku still, but there was nothing I could do about that.

"Don't worry, I can fly," Goku said, and powered up, to my surprise. He didn't look like he could even stand, let alone fly, but I didn't doubt his decision and Vegeta picked me back up and floated above Goku.

"Are you coming or not, loser?" Vegeta taunted, and floated a bit higher. Goku nodded and flew up to our level.

"I think that I should go home, Bulma, you should come with me, it is a lot...uh...safer at my place," He said, and met Vegeta's firey glare evenly.

"Who are you to say, Kakkarott?" Vegeta challenged, and I nearly smacked him.

"Vegeta! Goku! Listen to me!" I said, and after a couple more staring-down seconds, they turned their attention to me. "I am going to go wherever I *want*, but I am not going anywhere without Moira."

Vegeta let out a noise of protest and Goku just looked confused. "She is my friend!" I said, and Vegeta nodded.

"Fine, but I am *not* carting carrot-top anywhere," He said.

Goku looked thoughtful. "Hey, Bulma, if you are coming to my place...well, I don't know what we could do. I can't carry both of you...well, maybe."

Vegeta growled and flew to the building, as fast as he could go without hurting me. I screamed and held on tighter.

"What the hell!" I screamed, and pushed my whipping hair out of my face.

He didn't answer. I looked over his shoulder and saw Goku following, gaining fast. I was torn in two between staying at Goku's house and staying here. But what did I have here? I asked myself, and I *was* sort of a prisoner, really. I shook my head and decided to let Moira help me. We landed and Vegeta practically dropped me on the ground.

I ran into the building for Moira, and saw something I hadn't expected to. Almost all the Saiyans that had been brought were gathered, talking and argueing. I stopped and Vegeta came up behind me.

"We have taken this planet, and are returning to Vegetasei, save enough warriors to keep everything still in our control," He said, and went into the group of men, yelling at them angrily. I looked behind me and saw Goku waiting outside. I ran to our room and saw Moira sitting in the windowsill. She turned to me and smiled weakly.

"Listen, I have a decision making problem," I said, and explained things to her. She looked confused herself.

"Uh-Bulma....I really think that you belong back on Vegetasei, I mean, with all the recent...happenings. Besides that, it is more your home than this broken planet will ever be." She said, and I smiled weakly.

"What about you?" I asked. "I am sure that Goku will let you stay with him, or you could come with me."

She shook her head. "No, Earth is my *home*. I have to stay. I will go back out in the city, to find my family."

I bowed my head, saddened. I knew that I couldn't sway her opinion. We hugged and I smiled through tears, and so did she.

"It's been...great," I sniffed, and she nodded.

"You know, I have a feeling that we will be seeing each other soon, really soon," Moira said, and pushed me out the door. "But meanwhile, you had better get going!"

I gave her one last look, and walked back to the entrance, tears streaming down my face. I didn't want to leave her...my friend, my best one at the moment. I wiped my face and lifted my chin higher. I wouldn't let anyone see me cry.

I explained to Goku, and he looked disappointed. "Well, Bulma, if you say so," He said, and smiled his goofy smile. "But I will be in touch, don't worry! I have to go to Chichi, I will give your best to them!" We hugged and I watched him fly away, smiling.

I turned back to the group of Saiyans and searched for Vegeta. I spotted him, leaning agaisnt one of the walls in his usual stance, looking stressed.

I walked over quietly and leaned agaisnt him. He started and opened his eyes. "What have you decided?" He snapped.

"To go back with you, Earth is trash now," I said, and closed my eyes. "Besides, I don't really consider this much of a home , much of *anything* really."

"What happened to What's-Her-Name?"

"She is going...to find her family or something," I said, and stood back up again. "So I think we should leave now."

He smirked and crossed his arms. "I was planning to do that," He said, and rounded up all the soldiers. I followed him back to where the large ship was hidden, and we all boarded.

I sighed and watched the Saiyans walk past me. Was I making the right choice? I felt someone come behind me, Vegeta. He put his arms around my neck and smirked.

I did also, and I knew that I had made the right decision.
