Chapter 1: Afterlife

Cell had been killed by the mighty young warrior Gohan and now awaits his sentence in the Afterlife.

For days he moved up the line as each soul was being judged. He watched good people ascend through golden gates, he watched people like himself descend into fire and darkness.

He watched all this passively, not caring. He had never felt anything before, why should it be any different with his demise.

When he finally reaches the front of the long line a large green troll questioned him. His chin bobbed with every syllable he spoke and his small beady eyes bored into Cell’s hard core, to the disappointment of the troll Cell never flinched.

“Name?”

“Cell, creation 106 of Dr.Gero”

The troll flipped through his book while shaking his head in confusion.

“Get me Celestial” the large troll ordered to a smaller one.

A few minutes later a slight translucent figure of a girl appears alongside of the troll. She shimmered with a silver light.

“Celestial, why can this Cell not be admitted to neither heaven nor hell?” the large green troll asked.

The small lovely girl placed a knowing smile on her face.

“This being was never truly alive. He never had any hopes of attaining the attributes of a mortal and thus cannot be judged.”

“Well, what the hell do I do with him then!?” the large troll bellowed. He did not want this bug-like creature wandering around HIS office, scary off innocent souls and tormenting his attendants.

“I have an idea” Celestial then whispered in the troll’s ear and the troll nodded with a satisfied look on his face. Both had smiles plastered on their faces.

Celestial then walked over to Cell and placed a hand on his shoulder.

“It is time to be human.” She said.

Cell’s body began to melt and change. His once hard exoskeleton melted into fleshy pale skin, the husk on top of his head softened and split, turning into long silken green hairs.

His hard and cold black eyes spun and changed until they resembled eyes of clear green pools. The once hardened monster now was a handsome human man.

For what seemed a millenium, Cell stood before an amazed troll and a smirkish Celestial. Celestial was the first to speak.

“Cell, because you were not of soul you cannot be judged. Therefore I have given you a human body and a human soul. I have also given you the privilege of keeping your powers for self-defense and your own ki signature. There is a catch though to this gift: you are only allowed to spend 6 months on earth to earn a place in heaven or hell. Should you chose to live in good in 6 months the gates to heaven will be open to you, but should you decide to live as Dr.Gero intended then no one here will have any remorse in sending you strait to the fires of hell. Chose wisely. We have already taken the liberty of providing you with an occupation and life on earth. Since you already have knowledge of all of the sciences, you will be Dr. Leon Cellic, Head of Microbiology Research at Capsule Corporation. Good luck!”

Celestial was about to leave when a thought occurred to her. She stepped close to Cell’s/Leon’s ear and whispered “Bulma Briefs can help you should you chose good.”

And with that Celestial was gone and the large green troll began attending to the other souls waiting to be judged.

Cell walked toward the gate to earth but bumped into a tall figure. It was Goku; Cell snarled, but the clueless and kind fighter took no heed.

“Gee, I’m sorry. Hey, don’t I know you. You kinda feel like this guy I knew named Cell.”

“No”, Cell replied, “I’m Leon, Dr. Leon Cellic.
