He had a talent for Astrology, and could use his knowlege to select humans that were approching their peak engery, get close to them, and infect an object of theirs with a curse (appearing as this really cool little rune or something ^_^) The more the person worked, the more they would want to work, thusly increasing their energy. This method was a lot more effective than Jeddy's way of gathering juice, and he quickly fell in favor with Queen Beryl, despite the senshi stopping his plans. ^_^
Nephrite was also the only King to have a proper alias on Earth. I'll remember his Japanese name some day... ^_^! Anyhow, he made a huge, dark forest and his country mansion appear on the outskirts of Tokyo, and set himself up as a millionaire playboy. ^_^ Oh, and he had a Ferrari! You'd think people would suspect this guy who just popped up one day out of the blue, but still... Anyhow, practically every girl in town had a huge crush on him, especailly Naru, Usagi's best freind. Which would be....*Dramatic music plays* his downfall...
Being the super-heronie's best freind instantly made poor Naru privy to all sorts of Dark Kingdom energy sucking plans, so it wasn't long before Nephrite noticed her impressive energy suppy (This girl keeps going and going and going....) And sweet talked her into supplying him with info on Sailor Moon. In fact, when he made the Black Crystal homing thingie, designed for finding the silver Crystal, it led him staight to her, leading him to beleive she WAS Sailor moon. Geez, for a high ranking King, he's pretty stupid! Anyway, even though he was doing fine job wise, his life was still being plotted against, by a fellow King, Zoisite.
Zoisite absolutely HATES Nephrite, and vice versa.It's sort of fun watching them put each other down in front of Queen Beryl. ^_^ It was Zoi-boy's job to get the Silver Crystal, which would give the Dark Kingdom all the power in the universe. Queen Beryl, being the kind, good hearted fair person she is decided to give that job to Nephrite, which REALLY upset Zoisite, who started looking for a way to kill Nephrite, who was starting to fall in love with Naru, even though he thought his intrest in her was just a way to discover Sailor moon's identity, and the Silver Crystal.
When he quizzed her about it, saying he would be in trouble without it, she misunderstood him, and even resorted to stealing a rare jewel from OsaP, her mother's store to give to him. He said it was the wrong one, but was still curious to why the crystal was reacting (Turns out it was her love. Ahhhh.) He teleported into her room, and looked for the Silver Crystal under her duvet and pyjamas o.O She then woke up, asking what he was doing. He apologized for lying to her about everything, as he knew Zoisite and his assasin youma were going to kill him for being a traitor. (Zoi made Beryl lose confidence in Nephrite.) He asked one more time about SM and the Silver Crystal and left. Naru phoned Usagi, which made Nephrite suspect her as Sailor Moon. When she came over, he distorted the road so she would panic and transform. When she did, he confronted her about the Silver Crystal, beliveing it would be linked to Sailor moon. Meanwhile, Naru was kidnapped by Zoi's youma. Nephrite then bust in (After a defeat by Tuxedo Mask) to the little theatre place they were keeping her in. They then fled to the park,where they talked honestly for the first time ever, and Nephrite realized he was in love. Too bad seconds later he got a six foot thorn driven into his chest. Ouch. Luckily, the Senshi turned up, and kicked the youma's butts ^_^. Zoisite then grabbed the Dark Crystal and teleported off, to claim Nephrite's rank. Nephrite, in his last dying moments told Naru never to forget him. Evil people can be so sweet sometimes....
