     Led by S/Ldr Pietraszkiewicz were F/Lt Mickiewicz, F/O Wolinski, Sgt Chudek, P/O Miksa, Sgt Cwynar, P/O Andersz, P/O Gil, Sgt Malczewski, Sgt Adamiak and Sgt Krieger. Takeoff at 6:30 a.m. Rendezvouz with bombers at 18K over Rye. "Bric bats"(315's code name) flew at 21K. With engine malfunction, S/Ldr Pietraszkiewicz peeled off and landed at Hawking. F/Lt Mickiewicz took over the command of the squadron. All the way to the target, only light flak was a sole sign of the German defense. After Blenheims unloaded whole formation was attacked by numerous e/a. Section led by F/Lt Mickiewicz lagged behind the Wing and fought a heavy fight with Bf-109s. F/Lt Mickiewicz safely landed in France in a badly shot-up a/c. He became POW. He was the only loss for 315. Sgt Chudek got 2 Bf-109 destroyed and 1 Bf-109 probable. P/O Andersz got 1 Bf-109 damaged.
