Eloria, The West
The Dragon, the Angel and the Elemental Lords created the world long ago.  They fashioned it out of the void and each one shaped an aspect of it.
Aule, the Elemental Lord of Earth fashioned the world into a sphere, with great mountains and great depressions and he thought it was good, so he went to dwell in the ground.
Ulmo, the Elemental Lord of Water shook the Firmament of Heaven and made a great rain, so that the depressions of the world filled with water, and the soil above the water became land and everything beneath became the Great Ocean.  He left to dwell in the ocean's depths.
Elbereth, the Elemental Lady of Fire saw that the ocean was ice and the land was frigid, so she cast a great fire into the world?s core.  She also cast a massive ball of fire, called it the Sun and flung it into the firmament to revolve around the world, as even the heavens do so.  She went down to dwell in the fiery core of Eloria.
Manwe, the Elemental Lord of the heavens saw everything that was made and shrugged.  He exhaled the air all things would breathe and retreated to the Sun, for when he sulks great thunderstorms ravaged the world.
The Dragon and the Angel were left with a barren world and each had their own idea of what should live.  They separated and came back to show what they had made.
"Behold, here is grass!" cried the Angel.  It spread throughout the world, from the highest mountain to the lowest ocean depths. The Dragon raised an eyebrow and said, "It is good.  However, I have made many kinds of things called Insects.  They shall eat your grass and move on."
The Angel watched as these animals ate the grass and moved on.  "Oh, but here is something new!  Behold, here are herds of grazers, both on the land and on the sea and in the air.  They shall eat both grass and your insects."  And the grazers of the land numbered and spread throughout the land, all manner of deer, elk, cows, pigs and leaf eating animals.  And the seas multiplied with all manner of fish.  And the sun was blotted out with great numbers of geese, sparrows, ducks and all manner of things that flew.
"Those are very pretty indeed, but behold, here I have made animals to eat your herds and control their populations."  And there appeared the wolf and leopard, the cobra and raptor, the shark and the squid, the sea serpent, dragon and the wyvern. The Angel frowned and said, "Here I have a Man, and he will fashion tools and build great cities.  He will tread the earth and sail upon the seas, he will hunt the wyvern and the shark, the sea serpent and the wolf.  He will master the earth and tame fire, he will ride Heaven's zephyrs and live by the sea.  His fathers are the earth and the ocean."
The Dragon smiled and said, "And how shall Man procreate?  But by my work, that of Woman, for she will bear children like a forge will bear weapons.  She will be fiery and temper filled, for her fathers are the fire and the air."
The Dragon and the Angel watched as the Man and the Woman lived together, and they made more, of many kinds and shapes, but always in the two forms.  There arose the races of Men, Orcs, Goblins, Trolls and all manner of peoples.  The Dragon and the Angel flung them to the farthest corners of the world and bade them to flourish and fill the lands.
The Gods were born in the minds of Men and Women, and they came upon the Heavens and demanded entrance.  They tore open the Gates of Heaven and made war upon the Angel and the Dragon.  The Dragon was thrown to the earth and the Angel fled to the skies.  The Gods did so for they were angry at the creators of Men and Women, for these twins fought constantly and were not happy.  They shut heaven up with great pillars and came to dwell upon the highest peaks of Eloria, to watch down upon the peoples of the world and encourage them, for the Angel and the Dragon had never answered the prayers of the people.
When the Dragon fell to the ground, he hit the tallest mountains of the world, but His fall was so great that he shattered the world and made a great depression in the land, to be filled with water.  It is called the Dragon Sea and He still rests there, far from the notice of the Gods and holding counsel with the Elemental Lords, for His return.  In the meantime, great monsters were created and cast to the edges of the world, to make war upon the Gods and the forms of Mankind.
Yet with the Gods, came their antithesis, the Demons, for they sprang from the evil inside Mankind and they dominated the land.  They made war with the Gods and dwelled in the ground, tempted Mankind and strove to turn them from the Gods.
