The Punisher A ship with a varied past, stretching over 400 years and called many names (Starburner and Avenger). The ship is a Corsica Battlecruiser, state of the art for its time with slave rigged systems and a ship's AI, called ANITA (Artificial Nuerological Intelligent Thaumaturgical Aeroship) with a past longer than the ship itself. ANITA was the pinnacle of AI research for a band of human and verpine scientists who has served several duties before being jury rigged into the ship. The ship can flown with only three crew members, or by ANITA (albeit at a +5 pilot and +2 attack bonus). The ship resembles the Old Republic dreadnought with a 6 fighter wing complement. The ship has sacrificed both cargo capacity, fighter wing capacity and weapons for the automated systems. Note: ANITA cannot make hyperspace jumps on its own, thus needing a minimum 3 crew members. ANITA appears as a holographic androgynous woman. ANITA's voice is husky for a woman. Notes and Special Systems: Automate- ANITA can take control of the ship, automating pilot, life support, shields and weapons. However, the ship's AI recieves only a +5 bonus to Pilot checks. ANITA recieves a +10 on Use Computer checks and +2 attack. ANITA cannot automate the navcomputer unless modifications to her central programming are procured (very complex and akin to neurosurgery using rocks). Manuevering Thrusters- Affords a +4 bonus to Pilot checks, however, constant alingment and maintenance is required or the ship suffers a -4 penalty. Back Up Navicomp- A spare navicomputer to dump astrogate results into. Offline unless primary navicomp malfunctions (+3 primary, +1 backup) or is unoperational. Hidden in the matrixes of the ship, requires a DC 20 Search. Cargo Jettison- Autoflush cargo bay, usually for use in space for a 'quick dump'. Use Computer DC 5. Comm/Sensor Jammer- Requires a Use Computer, result is DC to communicate with comms in the immediate area. Affects up to medium range. Environmental Filters- Allows a different atmosphere for individual rooms or the entire ship to accomodate different life support conditions. Limited to the bridge and 10 passenger rooms. Grappler Mags- Magnetic towline cable (1 from cargo bay). Max Length is 150 m. +4 attack (-1 size, +2 ANITA, +3 fire control). Hidden Cargo Compartments- 2 ton secret cargo plating, main hold. Plasma Torch- A torch located near the main hatch for easy hull breeches when boarding. Sensor Baffling- A chemical bath on the hull, masking ship from sensor sweeps. Affords a -4 penalty on opposed Use Computer checks for sensors. Sensor Mask- Using holoprojectors and advanced stealth technology, the sensor mask requires a successful Use Comptuer DC 20 to initiate. Note: Shields may not be "up" and speed cannot exceed "docking" when using the sensor mask. The sensor mask affords a -10 penalty on opposed Use Computer checks for sensors. (Advanced) Targeting System- On a successful Use Computer DC 15, data from this advanced sensor system can be fed to a weopon system, affording a +2 against the target employed in the next round. For continual use of the bonus, continual monitoring must be engaged. Escape Pods (3)- Bridge, cargo bay and engine area. 6 person escape pods, Defense 23 (+8 size, +5 armor). Cargo Capacity and Fighter Capacity- ANITA has room for 6 standard star fighters in its hold (or 9 TIE Fighters). Cargo is in a seperate area. Cargo and Fighter Capacity is in different sections, but the Fighter Capacity may not ever be used as Cargo Capacity, though Cargo Capacity may be substituted for more ships. The Punisher can transport 6 small ships or 3 small ships/1 medium ship. Sensors- Advanced Sensor Suite, affords users +3 Use Computer Sensor use. |
