Signy Mallory is based on Downbelow Station by C.J. Cherryh. Eumenides is from a moment of self-pity and rage. Medic is from a rather awful (unpublished!) short story I once wrote. Gil-Shallos is based on the Darwath Trilogy by Barbara Hambly. Lammas Night is a mystery, I refuse to tell the ending. F.A.P. stands for Feline American Princess. I have eight cats. Wind's Four Quarters is from the short story Swordsworn, the first of the Tarma & Kethry stories. Jirel of Jorey is based on the four short stories eaturing the character created by C.L. Moore. Golden Eyes became the short story Were-Hunter published in  Tales from the Witch World, volume 1. Mis-Conceptions is a new look at a rather old joke. Kerowyn's Ride is the magic, and is from By the Sword. For the curious Kerowyn is the granddaughter of the sorceress Kethru of Oathbound and Oathbreakers. Of Cabbages is the magic, moondust and melancholy all wrapped up in one song. A nice bit of philosophy to end the tape.
