It all started with the US KRH86 NYC Reunion ...

Reunion weekend began for Mitzie and me on Friday morning, April 6, 2007. We started our day with breakfast at Krystal (see next post) and to order the cake for the reunion. What’s a party without cake?

Our next stop was her office for all the stuff and bags for the reunion. A few printouts later it was off to the hotel to meet up with Xenia. The rest of the afternoon I spent with Xenia at church for a service that lasted two hours. (Yes Sam, I actually went to church on a NOT Sunday day)

Back at the hotel Sam and Winston were in already. Xenia went off with her Tita. We waited for Mitzie, and she brought along her 2nd gen KRH daughter D.

Dinner at Todai

The food was good and of course the company was better. Mmmm, buffet is always fun, and to watch Winston, the only guy in the group, was amusing. I lost count of how plates he had, but hey, growing boy? Good appetite!

Lots of tiny things to eat, Sushi here and there, even the dessert table had cute little squares of sweets.

When the bill comes, what can I say? It was Todai for. It’s a little more than I would usually pay for a dinner especially since I was dressed in a hoodie and jeans. It’s definitely not turu turo or Chinese take out pricing. *wince* Heeheehee

Lauri

I was just YMing with Mitzie and I just told her I'm not up to my game in writing, not writer's block, but kinda tired to be exceedingly witty right now. What I've typed up so far seems short and not as detailed as I'd like. Maybe a rewrite one of these days... In the meantime here's a portion of Mitzie's take on the restaurant...

Just updating you guys of what happend the first day of the reunion, April 6, 2007 , Friday

It started with Lauri and Nick picking us up to go to Filipino strip. Well, Roosevelt was almost like a ghost town with most of the Filipino stores and resto close for the holiday. Except Krystals Bakery. It sure was a very crowded place.

Thursday, Marife arrived. Noon time, Xenia, Lauri and I checked into our room. In between, we were shuttling the reunion paraphernalia. Then, Winston and Marissa arrived and checked into their rooms. I joined them for dinner at Todai with my daughter, D along.
