From Thomas who was born in St Marie on 25 Aug 1846 and his wife Marie Beaulieu, one of their son Elzear Drouin born on 8 Sept 1850 at Saint Elzear settled in St Bernard. Elzear married Celina Duclos at St Bernard on 12 Feb 1878. Celina was born on 29 Oct 1858, the daughter of Etienne Duclos and Angele Nadeau. By 1861 the Drouin family was located in the "rang Saint-Marc, number 281, today (1999) the Farm of Leo Breton Inc. Elzear married at the same time as Etienne Duclos (son of Etienne/Nadeau) who married Udasse Drouin (sister of Elzear). Elzear and Celina had many children including two sons: Ovila and Elzear.
Eventually Etienne Duclos and Elzear bought two lots in the "rang St Mathieu" in 1883 where today (1999) the P.M. Champagne Farm and Marcel Nadeau and Son Inc Farm is located. From these farms, each week the brother-in-laws, went to the market in Quebec City to sell their product. They did this for 15 years until Elzear's ill health stopped him from going. Elzear did his last will and testament in 1899, and in Sept of that year lost his sight. In October his last child was born, and on 13 Jan 1900 he died at age 49, leaving 12 children, seven boys and five girls (three died at early age). Celina his wife carried on and died on 11 Dec 1944 at age 86. Four of her grand-children still live in St Bernard.
A cousin of Elzear also settled in St Bernard. Moise Drouin's father was Narcisse Drouin, brother of Thomas Drouin the father of Elzear.
