Tsukino Usagi
Sailormoon is a story about a teenage girl, Usagi Tsukino, or "Rabbit of the moon." After encountering a talking cat named Luna, Usagi gained the ability to transform into the super heroine, Sailor Moon. She would soon be joined by Ami Mizuno, aka Sailor Mercury, Rei Hino, aka Sailor Mars, Makoto Kino, aka Sailor Jupiter, and the original Sailor V (Now called Sailor Venus), Minako Aino. Later, they are joined by Usagi's future daughter, Usagi Tsukino Small Lady Serenity, or "Chibiusa," who is called Sailor Chibimoon. Together, they are the Inner Sailor Senshi.

A little while after, they also encounter the guardian of time, Setsuna Meiou, Sailor Pluto. They then meet a boyish race-car loving girl named Haruka Tenou (Sailor Uranus), and her elegant violinist companion, Michiru Kaiou (Sailor Neptune). Along with Hotaru Tomoe, a weak and fragile younger girl who becomes Sailor Saturn-the one who can destroy worlds-they are the Outer Sailor Senshi.

In the last season of Sailormoon, they are joined by Senshi from other galaxies-the Sailor Starlights. In the anime, they are men singers in their everyday form, but females as Sailor Senshi. (In the manga they are completely women who pose as males.) Seiya Kou is Sailor Starfighter, Yaten Kou is Sailor Starhealer, and Taiki Kou is Sailor Starmaker. They are on earth to find their princess, Kakyuu. Also in the last season is the introduction of a mysterious toddler girl, Chibichibi, who becomes Chibichibimoon and helps Eternal Sailormoon during her quest for peace.

The Story's second half
Sailormoon contains a romance story following Usagi's past incarnation, Princess Serenity of the moon kingdom, and the past incarnation of Mamoru Chiba (aka Tuxedo Kamen), Prince Endymion of earth. After the collapse of the moon kingdom, they are reborn in modern Tokyo. At first when they meet again in modern day, they don't become the best of friends, and they often tease each other! Once they regain their memories, they are tearfully separted from each other when Mamoru is brought to the evil side. Over the entire show, Mamoru and Usagi often can not be with one another, but we know their love will last well into the 30th century when they become Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion-rulers of the universe!
