June 30, 1000

    Dear Diary,

            Today Serena's birthday festivities began.  She has been in her chamber all of tonight.  I think she is weeping because her true love, Prince Endymion cannot join her.  Serena will be taking the throne in two weeks.  Luna will make sure she does all she can to make our Kingdom happy.  But as Darrien tells me, a negative force called the Negaverse was planning to take over the Universe, starting with the Moon!   I must stop writing now for my candle is burning out.

    Dear Diary,

             Today I guess that Darrien has come back to my daughter for a while, for she was more happy tonight and participated in the festivities.  The other Princesses were at the festival as well.  I saw them in the ballroom dancing with some handsome young men.
