I am medical specialist in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. Actually we developed clinical activity and research in Psychosomatic Medicine area (Medical Clinic and Psychotherapy) in private clinic. During my clinical specialization and in the first years of my medical practice, I could observe how much frequent was the occurrences of physical symptoms in hospital urgencies unchained by emotional processes or of stress, where such functional symptoms as: palpitations, heart pain of psychogenic origin, muscular pains, unbalance, eating difficulty, diarrheas, really prevailed in detriment of organic pathologies. I became then to research and I drove my medical formation looking for to embrace the man gotten sick as only one total being. The practice of this Integral medicine, the research field related to the psychological factors and the stress factor acting in the development of organic diseases it is what considered today as psychosomatic medicine. |
